I am impressed with Dawson and also think Butcher has some potential...aside from his goal I wasn't vastly in awe of Petrescu tho! Not a good performance tonight!

I thought Welesolowski played well (but didn't produce much tonight to write home about), he clearly has some neat footwork though, and I can see hints of what he is capable of. Just felt we lacked a bit of coheasion (sp) tonight.
SilverFox Posted 27 September 2004 Posted 27 September 2004 I'm also quite worried about Canero...I can't see how forcing him to play as a right back when he clerly favours playing right midfield, is going to help him develop. He played o.k. tonight, but I felt made some silly mistakes. If I head down to Kettering (?) next week for Ipswich reserves I am willing to take a few people who want to go but otherwise wouldn't be able to get there. Just let me know (PM if you like) and I will let you know before next week if I am going (if not, its because my girlfriend will more than likely have me under the thumb...whipped and lovin' it! )

The 17-year-old has come through the youth ranks at Leicester, after joining the club as a junior. Petrescu is one of Leicester's best young prospects and this has been recognised with the award of the lengthy contract. The striker is rated as one of his country's best prospects and is expected to make a push for the first team at Leicester over the next few years. The youth international has played ten times for Finland's Under 17 side and is set to lead their attack during the summer's World Under-17 Championship in his home nation. This was quoted on skysports about a year or so ago, what's happened to the kid?!
