rotherhamfox Posted 18 July 2004 Posted 18 July 2004 Another one about society, those off Talking balls will know of my previous, hope i aint boring you. Today- Putting you down, To the place they feel you should be, To live long and prosper in the overcrowded place, Known as civvie street, Thousands off us kicking our heels, Waiting for that spark that will wake this great group up, Too long have we waited for things to change, Yet we do nothing, we say and do nothing, Its easier to accept than to reform, So much goes past without it even ruffling our hair, Cos its easier to accept than to reform, Change takes effort, timing and luck, So many have tried in the past, The outcome the same, I take my hat off to the next revolution, Knowing that its purpose will start and end without so much of a mention, The reformers are flavours of the month, a t shirt face at best, But soon they become forgotten, distant relics of harder times, Harder times that are still upon us, Times of war, spin, and upheaval, Look around you, This is today and trouble for the mean time is here to stay. By Chris Gayton. Please give me feedback.

Rincewind Posted 9 November 2007 Posted 9 November 2007 I have some poems on on the blog myspace. Never used to be into poetry until I went creative writing school and found out that I could be accepted for it. It helps when you are with a group of like-minded people. Godd effoort for the above although I am not one to be a critic. It does not matter much what others think with free progressive poetry, it is whst the poet feels and expresses their emotions in verse form. I believe that if you are feeling down, angry or have any other hidden feelings it helps to write it down in anyway or prose form that is comfatable. Sometimes I have to read a piece a few times before I can get into the poets mind. I could print it off and review it at my lei9sure.
stez Posted 10 November 2007 Posted 10 November 2007 Bring back RovRum. i hope he doesn't get worried if he reads this, but i was thinking about him at work the other day! *disclaimer; i was only thinking about him because there were roadworks mentioned in rotherham, and i thought 'rovrum....ha' demz de facts.
