To be fair a lot of people change. There will probably be more (not seen results yet) more social democrat/conservative people among us as let's be fair, we live in a good country relative to a lot of other places in the world. Most people only turn extremist when things are really going wrong. Either that or if your just a born hitler fascist

I'm very much a "liberal" but I'm growing tired of Chomsky. When discussing American political affairs, Chomsky has a tendency to level blanket criticisms on American policies while seemingly neglecting/whitewashing crimes and human rights violations by whomever is the U.S.'s opponent. Sure, it's at least some counterbalance to the obvious pro-American slant in government propaganda, mainstream American media and mainstream U.S. intellectualism, but I don't think Chomsky approaches anything without clear bias.

In the American political realm, Chomsky's work is only relevant to those in/around/father to the left of my political nice, where he's an icon of the left-wing movement... only problem is that his works are absolutely useless in any political dialogue with the Center-Left/Center/Right because he's so far out of the mainstream. The Left here appears aloof and insular to many as it is so we've got to figure out a way to move away from Chomsky without appearing like we're caving in to the persistent conservative demand to constantly control any discourse.

its difficult to say these days; i'm a leftie in someways (minimum wage) and a righty in otherways (breaking the unions) and a liberal in others (world thinking rather than just britain/england) with a dash of green....
