Cal Posted 26 January 2006 Posted 26 January 2006 If Martin Allen wants the job then get him in! His name is almost an an anagram for Martin O'Neill.... Martin Allen can be rearranged to be Martin Neall... it's meant to be! Martin Allen or dream team for me! Walshie applied! Walsh couldnt manage a team of kids down Anstey Nomads when i saw him managing
Gené and Tonic Posted 26 January 2006 Posted 26 January 2006 I've just read a Brentford fan site and they don't think he'd want to come here. But they also reckon if he did, he'd be great for keeping us up, but not so great in progressing.
Louise Posted 26 January 2006 Posted 26 January 2006 Walshie applied! Walsh said in a recent interview that he applies every time the manager's position comes up at City. I don't think RL actually said that Allan was one of the applicants... they just said he was one of the ones there was rumours about. There is no way Davies would reveal who the applicants are, especially if they're already in jobs.
City Fan Posted 26 January 2006 Posted 26 January 2006 On Radio Leicester they mentioned some of the applicants could be - Neil Lennon, Steve Walsh, Martin Allen and Joey's Dad. Joey's dad applied last time but I think that is a big No-No. How about a joint combo of Martin Allen as gaffer, Steve Walsh as assistant, and Neil Lennon coming back as a player/coach?

Isnt he the one that was doing very well with notts county?
City Fan Posted 26 January 2006 Posted 26 January 2006 Isnt he the one that was doing very well with notts county? Not sure, but I think his name is Gudjon Thordorson or summat like that, used to manage Stoke I think.
The People's Hero Posted 26 January 2006 Posted 26 January 2006 Not sure, but I think his name is Gudjon Thordorson or summat like that, used to manage Stoke I think. He's a nil nil merchant. Doesn't do it for me.
filbertway Posted 26 January 2006 Posted 26 January 2006 He's a nil nil merchant. Doesn't do it for me. His last 3 results were win 2-1 draw 2-2 lose 2-0

The People's Hero Posted 26 January 2006 Posted 26 January 2006 His last 3 results were win 2-1 draw 2-2 lose 2-0 Okay, fair enough. His Stoke seem just always seemed to be an unadventurous, timewasting, spoiling unit. I'm with Thracian in wanting to see passion and attacking football, not just for the sake of Leicester City and my personal enjoyment, but for the good of the game itself.
