The Don Posted 14 February 2006 Posted 14 February 2006 Just read this in the Mercury "Asked when Kelly moved from being "one of the options'' to becoming City's No.1 choice, Davies replied: "We had a list of options all the time. He's become our No.1 choice when we decided to make a choice. "From that, you could say that he's always been No.1 or he''s never been No.1. "There's never been a No.1 - he's been one of our options and certainly we've been impressed by what Rob and Mike have been doing - they've been working incredibly hard, and changing things slightly, and three wins is testament to that.'' He admitted that the last three results had made it "very easy'' for the board to pick Kelly and Stowell. "Why change a winning formula?' he asked." Glad he cleared that up then
