Janx Posted 13 February 2006 Posted 13 February 2006 I'd settle for that at this mo safe pair of pair of hands! <_<
lookwhaticando Posted 13 February 2006 Posted 13 February 2006 I thought Jim Smith had employment elsewhere already - a consultant or director of football in some lower league club. There's also rumours he's lining up to rejoin Pompey (he was seen at their reserves game against Arsenal.) or Oxford. Edit: No, he doesn't appeard to be employed at the minute. He said recently he'd turned down some offers around the time of rejecting QPR.
wonderboy Posted 13 February 2006 Posted 13 February 2006 My sources are telling me it's Kelly + Jim Smith on a short term contract. that,d be nice for the sheep tommorow
Ricey Posted 13 February 2006 Posted 13 February 2006 I don't want Jim Smith, I get the impression he doesn't like not being in total control. Also we have a very young squad, do we want an old-school manager coming in with ancient ideas? Didn't work with Bassett.
Bert Posted 13 February 2006 Posted 13 February 2006 IMO it's the right thing to do, RK has got the team playing confidently and personaly if a new manager came in now it'd take at least 3 weeks for him to get his plans across and this would cause disruption to everything and at this moment in time it's not needed because we are still in a pickle! Good call by the board and good luck for the rest o' the season Rob Kelly!! ROB KELLY'S BLUE 'N' WHITE ARMY!!
fox123 Posted 13 February 2006 Author Posted 13 February 2006 ive just had another one of my feelings.....they could bring someone in to work along side rob kelly until the end of the season with the view to them taking over in the summer, as not to upset the apple cart so to speak

Bert Posted 13 February 2006 Posted 13 February 2006 Rob Kelly is expected to be confirmed as Leicester boss until the end of the season at a news conference at 1600 GMT on Monday, report BBC Radio Leicester. Caretaker boss Kelly has been in charge since Craig Levein parted company with the Foxes on 25 January. He has guided them to three successive wins over QPR, Wolves and Brighton, to lift them out of the relegation zone. Striker Matty Fryatt last week said the club's board should allow Kelly to stay on as boss until the end of the season. Leicester lost six games in a row before Levein was sacked. QPR suspended manager Ian Holloway because of speculation linking him with the vacant manager's job at the Walkers Stadium. Luton boss Mike Newell and Brentford manager Martin Allen have both rejected the chance to take over From the BBC
Strokes Posted 13 February 2006 Posted 13 February 2006 Hes there but talking about next season - could be a double announcement!!! I think you should stop listening to these people Idea
Katy Posted 13 February 2006 Posted 13 February 2006 You guys! Its been on Talk Sport as well so it must be true that RK is being given the job until the end of the season. Dont worry Louise, ill text Cobbo with whatever news and ill get him to text you if Mr C isnt available. Its times like this LCFC text updates come in handy.
Ric Flair Posted 13 February 2006 Posted 13 February 2006 I'll be shocked if there isn't an experienced coach/manager coming in alongside him. Never in my life have I seen a team get by with 2 first team coaches.
