Bert Posted 13 February 2006 Posted 13 February 2006 Yes. theyve just said it on SSN as well Get in there, i'd expect someone Kelly has worked with before who is proven to start with.
Jon the Hat Posted 13 February 2006 Posted 13 February 2006 Yes. theyve just said it on SSN as well Go Wigan!! Spend that cash! Never expected to have it in the first place, so we might as well spend some of it!
securedfox Posted 13 February 2006 Posted 13 February 2006 Oh God yes QPR Chairman must be sick, paying hollows wages without getting any from us
Ricey Posted 13 February 2006 Posted 13 February 2006 I'm looking forward to putting this all to rest and concentrating on the important things, supporting Leicester City and winning games of football.

Me too, all the speculation has been good, exciting and frustrating. Good to put it all to bed though.
Phube Posted 13 February 2006 Posted 13 February 2006 From the BBC Sport rumours section.... "Leicester caretaker boss Rob Kelly has distanced himself from taking the job full time. (Daily Express)" Isn't hindsight a wonderful thing!!!???
Wycombe Fox Posted 13 February 2006 Posted 13 February 2006 Saw Rob Kelly at Brighton on Saturday - top bloke! He stopped for photos after getting off the team coach (the bus type coach, not Mike Stowell!) and when you see him close up you notice what incredibly twinkly eyes he's got! For me twinkly eyes means honest, hardworking and a cheeky zest for life!

securedfox Posted 13 February 2006 Posted 13 February 2006 Saw Rob Kelly at Brighton on Saturday - top bloke! For me twinkly eyes means honest, hardworking and a cheeky zest for life! Or he's coming down with 'summat'
Wycombe Fox Posted 13 February 2006 Posted 13 February 2006 Or a coke head Yeah - hadn't thought of that one!
fox123 Posted 13 February 2006 Author Posted 13 February 2006 was it just me or did Tim Davies say, that leicester had not offered anyone else the job??
Collymore Posted 13 February 2006 Posted 13 February 2006 was it just me or did Tim Davies say, that leicester had not offered anyone else the job?? yes. He did say that.
newms Posted 13 February 2006 Posted 13 February 2006 probably true, we only interviewed people they turned us down or we didnt choose them before it got to that stage
Birch'sLeftBoot Posted 13 February 2006 Posted 13 February 2006 My mate's best friend's uncle who works at a Football Clothing store in America knows Davies and says that even though Kelly has been named manager, Berti Vogts is on board as manager with Speedie to be first team coach in the close season. Take it as good as fact. Nah...bollocks aside, Kelly seems the right pick. The players rate him, and while that can be dangerous in some contexts, in the middle of a dogfight like we are, it can only come as a positive. Let's carry the momentum into tomorrow!!!!!
davieG Posted 13 February 2006 Posted 13 February 2006 probably true, we only interviewed people they turned us down or we didnt choose them before it got to that stage TD reckons no one was offered the job apart from Kelly that is.
Michael Doyle Posted 14 February 2006 Posted 14 February 2006 Good move LCFC. If Kelly has them winning his real challange is to keep it happening. The players seem to react to Kelly and thats what we need in our current situation. Weso is a setback but the simple matter of fact is that we must get over it and keep up the winning performances. Two home games on the trot to do this. Lets all keep positive and shout our hearts out for the boys in blue. COME ON YOU MIGHTY FOXES MadMick
Manwell Pablo Posted 14 February 2006 Posted 14 February 2006 I'm fairly happy,I'm also of the opinion we should waited till tomorrow . Derby game is huge and I think the need to win it in order to get the job could of given kelly that little bit more incentive to win the game. What better way to get the job then beating your local rivals to pull away from the relegation scrap. Things now don't look to rosey for tonight IMO. Weso's mangled his foot and is probabley one more break away from retirement . The whole team is fighting to recover from the lergey and now Kelly has been appointed full time boss, its more then likely his honey moon period is over and the hangover is due. I hope he brings Williams into the midfield and it keeps Kisnorbo at centre half.

I think it's a good move, with the injury of a key player and a lergey hit squad, what could be more uplifting then having Kelly as the manager until the end of the season. It will settle the unsettled and perk the team and management up. Both teams are without key players, Kelly will have to be shrewed and savy to get a win tonite!!!
Cal Posted 14 February 2006 Posted 14 February 2006 Lets just hope they dont step off the pace now knowing that theyve got the job until the end of the season. I dont think they will but fingers corssed.
