LCFC's training schedule?

Recommended Posts

Does anyone know what times and days the players will be training at Belvoir Drive in the coming week (Friday 22nd to Friday 29th)? I know they're having one at Filbert Way on Monday but I'd like to know for the rest of the week.

Should be out by about 11. Expect Gillespie to be the first off after an hour or most likely less though ;)

What day's this Petrescu? Do you go down there most days or just occasionally?

I havent been down for a while now. Might do next week one day. I'm not sure what days they have off, last time i went they came out at 10:30 but the time before it was 11  I'd say get there for 10:30 if you want to see them for a few hours.

I'm on holiday next week so I'll go down at least once. I catch the bus into the city centre and then walk the rest of the way usually but it takes ages and I'm knackered by the time I get there. Might catch a second bus this time! :D

Oh they do train then?

I thought they sat at home all week, watching save the last dance, or save the last chance.

They dont learn though...

What an easy life they have. Start training after 10.30, have one day off a week. Oh how hard they work for their £thousands every week.

A mate of ours went down last week for 10.30am, as he did when MA's was manager, but the players didn't come out until 11.30ish.

He also said the whole routine has already changed.

Hopefully we won't have so many injuries in future.....

So what the hell do they do up until that time? Because I know they have to report to training for about 9 am!

If they don't start training until 11.30ish what time do they finish?

I would assume that they use the indoor training pitch, and I would also guess that the players have been sat down and made to watch videos (training vids, of course), be told what tactics are to be used etc.

They get lunch, so they probably go home some time in the afternoon.

Apparently, they did a bit of light jogging, then started working on set pieces.

Would you see Wenger make his squad go on three mile runs? I don't think so.....

No wonder that we kept playing hoof football under MA. If the players did x miles running in training everyday they are bound to be too knackered to run around in the actual game...hence they resort to hoofing it which requires less running!

It also explains why our players keep picking up groin and hamstring injuries.

Distance running uses different muscles to sprinting, and believe me, it hurts to play footy if you regularly run 5-10K!!

I gave the club a ring earlier and they said that they train everyday except Wednesday as Louise said before. Supposedly, training starts at 10:30 and ends at 12:00 but going on what other people have said, these times aren't too strict and they come and go as they please.
