MON Posted 21 October 2004 Posted 21 October 2004 I think we have too many centre-backs at the moment. With the emergence of Stearman we must get rid of one centre-back. I think It is a tough call. Keown is safe, in my opinion. I would like to say Elliot, but i also want Dabizaz to go. Then i remember those indivigual errors by Heath. I do not rate elliot any more, and have never rated Heath. Dabizaz gives away too many free-kicks, he thinks he's a greek god, because he warmed the greek bench in euro 2004. But I come to the conclusion that Dabizaz should go, he is the worst of a bad bunch at city at the moment, in an ideal worl i would play Keown and stearman together but that isnt going to happen.
Guest Daniel Posted 22 October 2004 Posted 22 October 2004 Why aint you on the list? I want to get rid of you.

Elliott (money) and Keown (age) will definately be out of contract so gone/finished at the end of this season, I have a feeling so will Dabizas. So if the question was who should we play as a preference I would say on current form/knowledge: Keown, Heath, Elliott, Stearman Dabizas (on the proviso that Heath and Stearman are not a pairing)
Jonbluefox9 Posted 22 October 2004 Posted 22 October 2004 It's alright people saying the emergence of Stearman means we can afford to 'get rid of' one of the other four, but imo, if we put Stearman into a team with low confidence it will ruin his. People think that putting a lot of youth players in will turn our fortunes but you've got to get the right balance between the youngsters and the experienced. We have youngish players like Gareth Williams, Jordan Stewart, Matt Heath, Tommy Wright, Peter Canero and Lee Morris when fit that are all close to the first team or are in it and these players should be put in ahead of Stearman, Dawson, Petrescu etc.
Cobbo Posted 22 October 2004 Posted 22 October 2004 Why aint you on the list?I want to get rid of you. 28429 And you moan about immature posting? Hmmm. I think we should keep them all.
King Kyle lcfc Posted 22 October 2004 Posted 22 October 2004 I think they shud ship out Dabizas and sen Stearman on loan!
Wellman Posted 22 October 2004 Posted 22 October 2004 my bad, i accidently chose keown. I wanted to click Dabizas, is it possilbe if i could change it?
Scow Posted 22 October 2004 Posted 22 October 2004 Won't be able to get rid of any of them until the end of the season - In a ideal world though, Dabizas.
Anish Posted 22 October 2004 Posted 22 October 2004 Heath, to prone to mistkes. 28618 A bit like your spelling under the influence of alcohol eh?!
Mark Posted 22 October 2004 Posted 22 October 2004 Heath, to prone to mistkes. 28618 Not as prone as Dabizas. Heath offers more to us than Dabizas, and has done alot more for us, goals, dedication.

Durnerz Posted 24 October 2004 Posted 24 October 2004 Heath, to prone to mistkes. 28618 Not as prone as Dabizas. Heath offers more to us than Dabizas, and has done alot more for us, goals, dedication. 28622 More goals conceded have been due to heaths misjudgement and naiveity (sp) Dabizas is a strong defender, confident as well and only one goal i can remember this season has been his fault (vs Watford). I'd keep all of them, we saw on saturday what Elliott still has to offer, similar with Keown. In this division, we need as many hands to the pump as possible, talking about getting rid is nonsense, we cant afford to get anyone in, and stearman is unproven.
Ash Posted 24 October 2004 Posted 24 October 2004 Heath - I hate the way he ALWAYS hoofs the ball , atleast none of the other defenders do that,But maybe that will change with experience !
TrickyTrev Posted 24 October 2004 Posted 24 October 2004 I'd get rid of Heath and Dabizas tommorow if I got a decent offer. They are both awful for different reasons. Elliott is a very good footballer who is just on an annoyingly high wage. I still think he could do a great job in this division. Keown should definately be kept as should Stearman.
