Nationwider Posted 10 March 2006 Posted 10 March 2006 I used to. Changing people's login passwords was great fun, and not at all repetitive.
whothefoxthat Posted 10 March 2006 Posted 10 March 2006 ?? I'm a 3rd level networks technician, used to work on helpdesk, it's alright if you're able to solve 95% of problems over the phone, but since I left that dept, it's not the same !
Guest Posted 10 March 2006 Posted 10 March 2006 I could work in IT. "Not working? Yeah, just reboot your PC and that should sort it".
Darth Fox Posted 10 March 2006 Author Posted 10 March 2006 I used to. Changing people's login passwords was great fun, and not at all repetitive. Tell me about it. It's like groundhog day this job. Every day "I can't remember my passwords". Yeah p!ss off thicksh!ts. Thats what I would like to say!

Thats what I would like to say! Darth, think of it as a stepping stone for bigger and better things, we all have to start somewhere. My first IT job was at helpdesk, then after I got abit of experience, I moved to desktop\server support in another job, and subsequently moved 4 times to better Jobs, i'm abit of a job hoar!!! Good Luck, if not use the dark side and kill those that irritate you!!
Nationwider Posted 10 March 2006 Posted 10 March 2006 Darth, think of it as a stepping stone for bigger and better things, we all have to start somewhere. Too right. Always keep an eye out for the next job - I did a couple of IT jobs that weren't doing anywhere, but it's surprising what 12 months experience and a bit of IT knowledge can do. In my case, it got me out of IT.

Cobbo Posted 11 March 2006 Posted 11 March 2006 I work with a computer and abuse an IT heldesk if that's of any use to you.
