I am really worried at our strike force, other than Connolly who still isn't firing on all cylinders we have got nobody. Blake is shit, can't even put a decent performance in the reserves. Dublin is shocking, should have retired at the start of the season when he was sent off for being a penis. Benji isn't ever going to make it really and Wright won't get the chance and I have my suspicions about him being anything better than a mediocre first division player.

Great!! So we have a bunch of losers upfront and no money to sort it out. One of our best strikers has to play on the wing as we don't have any decent right wingers anymore. We also have too many centre halves and a few of them are needless. Dabizas should be bumped off and Stearman should be promoted to first choice alongside either Keown or Elliott, it will aid Stearmans progress and make us more solid. Stearman sounded class last night, why not choice someone on current form for once? and not on experience or household name.

We need a clear out, possibly not going to be able to do it right now but it's got to happen.

Blake, Dublin, Dabizas and Gemmill need shipping out, possibly let Benji go on loan. Get a good striker either on loan or signed permanently, perhaps two. Get an excellent right winger and a ball winner unless we play Dawson.

I wholeheartedly agree. But the problem we have is that we will end up doing what MA did for the last 2 seasons - releasing 10 players or so and then bringing in just as many. We need to get rid of these crap players you mentioned, but bring in younger players who will stay with us for 2-3 years, and build a strong team that works well together in the longer term.

I agree, but the problem is there is an urge in football management to buy short term fixes in the hope that you'll get in to the big time and then have money to buy your way out of trouble. Hasn't worked for us, although saying that building a team around a bunch of youngsters doesn't always work. But if something is going to work then it will help the situation alot if we have a stable team with solid foundations and that's why I think we should try and build a strong unit with young athletic players that could well be in our first team for many years.

It's worth a try, clear the deadwood out. Sign 3 or 4 players and promote Stearman, Dawson, Porter, Wesolowski, Petrescu and perhaps a couple more to the first team squad.

It's got to be done.

I think you're right Scowy. Dublin might be better in defence than attack, but it is about time we gave Stearman a chance.

I wouldn't be so bothered if Porter was one of them three on the bench, but then i'd still rather see Stearman playing.
