Mark Posted 25 October 2004 Posted 25 October 2004 CITY: Logan, Wesolowski, Wykes, Norvall, Stearman, Dawson, Butcher, Gudjonsson, Wright, Blake, Benjamin Subs: Morris, Porter, Dodds, Muggleton, Petrescu Petrescu a sub then after scoring 4 in a game for the Finland U-19's. Always nice to reward our youngsters isnt it? Players like Blake are ruining the future of this club. I bet Morris is dreading coming on, he'll be injured within 10 minutes
Guest Posted 25 October 2004 Posted 25 October 2004 So this is the "strong" side to face Chelski? Is anyone off of here going to watch at all?

Buzzell Posted 25 October 2004 Posted 25 October 2004 Blake in the squad!!! We need to start giving our youth abit of experience in the reserves and I bet Blake hates playing in reserves. He doesnt even deserve to play in the reserves. GET HIM OUT!
Anish Posted 25 October 2004 Posted 25 October 2004 Very stupid decision playing Benji and Blake in the reserves. Yes it gives them a bit of match fitness, but we all know what they are about and it seems that they have a season ticket on the bench as it is. They have nothing to prove knowing that whatever happens, they will still be on the bench for the next game. Give Petrescu and Morris a go, they can't do any worse. ....oh my mistake, Morris could get injured after 10 minutes!

dhermon Posted 25 October 2004 Posted 25 October 2004 U ARE ALL FOOLS we must use them in the seconds if we are paying them and intend to use them in the firsts they must have games under there belt The big bug bear is this blake gets a spot on the bench when he has not even played or proved himself in the seconds once it was found out he was way below match fittness he should have been in there running around with the kids that may have given him and one or 2 others the kick up the arse they needed from the start he would then see that he needed to prove he was worth a spot and not just think he could urn up for his spot sorry for no , or . but i dont have time to proof read as i am kinda meant to be working as it is oh well back to work ..........then to sneakely read this forum and prob get the arse when caught as i know i will
emmalcfc Posted 25 October 2004 Posted 25 October 2004 1-1 draw with Chelsea. Lee Morris played 45 minutes, and gained the penalty, which Big Trev scored at the second attempt. Stearman and Porter both looked good enough to get a place on the 1st team bench. Wright was rubbish and missed a 6 yard open goal, other good chances, and was constantly offside. Goalkeeper, Logan was also very poor!!

Mark Posted 25 October 2004 Author Posted 25 October 2004 Ratings taken from another forum.. 1. Conrad Logan 4 Very shakey, at fault for the gaol when he called for it and totally missed it 2. James Wesolowski 6 Didn't really have to do much, but what he did he did well 3. Alan Wykes 6 looks a bit fragile got knocked of the ball quite easily, but he's quick and ran the line well with some good crosses 4. Liam Norvall 6 played well in centre defence with Stearman not alot got passed them 5. Richard Stearman (capt) 9 Outstanding, what a prospect he is, he looked confident, won every tackle and looked good going forward 6. Stephen Dawson 6 Looks solid in midfield 7. Aarran Butcher 6 did ok in midfield, came off at half time 8. Joey Gudjonsson 3 Might as well have stayed at home, totally dis interested 9. Tommy Wright 8 100% for effort non stop running shows plenty of aggression, not affraid to put the boot in...hit a few wayward shots though 10. Nathan Blake 5 won a couple of headers had a coulpe of shots but like joey looked dis interested 11. Trevor Benjamin 7 Used his power to good advantage against a young Chelsea side showed good pace, well taken penalty on the second attempt after the first one was saved but the keeper was near his 6 yard line subs 12. Lee Morris 6 played all second half Was quiet to start off with but once he got warmed up he made some good runs....one leading to a penalty 14. Levi Porter 6 For someone who is only 3ft tall, he won some good headers and looked lively looks sharpe Louis Dodds, Ricky Muggleton and Tomi Petrescu didn't play.
