jimbo32 Posted 25 October 2004 Posted 25 October 2004 my mates a steward, and has it on good authority that megson is the number 1 choice of the board.if hes sacked he will be appointed immediatly if not harry and howard will stay in charge until the end of the season when the appointment will take place.personally i think megson would do a good job but dont want bassett in charge another week never mind till the end of the season.

This is probably why the board and fans were getting on his back because they werent seeing any progress being made from the last time they were in the prem. That season they spent very little money on poor players such as marshall. Megson did bring in some dcent players such as darren purse and Earnshaw.
