Ric Flair Posted 29 October 2004 Posted 29 October 2004 I cannot believe some of the stuff you lot are saying here. Craig Levein is the best manager we could ever have hoped for in a million years. I am speechless we have almost got him, he's been my first choice all along. Why is it that as soon as we are linked with a manager, any negatives that a manager might have you all say you aren't keen on him anymore. What do you want then? When Martin ****ing O'Neill gives us the seal (sp) of approval isn't that surely enough without even looking at his record. The man is a legend in Scotland, he has worked wonders with Hearts in a similar fashion that perhaps Megson has done with West Brom. Megson regularly falls out with his players, board and some fans by the sounds of it. Well that puts me off. Levein might be a defensive manager but for **** sake our defence is a shambles and it needs sorting out. He wouldn't deliberately tell a team to sit back and not attack, he will just coach them to be defensively astute and build from there. If we have got enough good attacking players then there won't be a problem, we've hardly been banging the goals in this season anyway. The cause of a successful team is built from the back, whether that's attractive or not I couldn't give a shit. We have got a manager who makes Adams look like a turtles head, he's not going to take any shit off our players but he's also not going to be arrogant and blame anything but himself or the players. Get behind him if he gets the job, which I hope. Every manager has their weaknesses and considering the situationw e are in we can't really be picky but we've landed on our feet. We are ****in lucky, I can tell you!! Dave Bassett and Wilko my arse, I can't believe some of you have said that. Two or three weeks ago some of you were saying you wouldn't watch Leicester play if they got the job, well whats happened there then? I guarantee you that you'll be trying to touch Levein's arse in a month or so when we are up near the top. Sort yourselves out. Craig Levein's...........................................

Well except the bit about Levein's arse, I wouldn't use words like that, oops I just did.

Hullfox Posted 29 October 2004 Posted 29 October 2004 Hoof's right. Unfortunately though some people would rather be able to take the "I told you so" stance if things go wrong rather than get 100% behind a manager. He wasn't on my shortlist but rest assured I'll be 100% behind him if he comes until he proves me wrong.

We wouldn't have been like this a few years ago, we've all been let down by the players and managers in the past few years but **** it. We all come rolling back every saturday and why not have some optimism for once. There's no reason not to, why worry about us doing badly when we can't get any worse. A decent manager will sort this lot out and Levein is decent, enough said. Craig Levein's blue and white army.
