Reminds me of a day my mate had last season.

He left Newport on the Man Utd supporters club coach at midday for a 7.45 kick off no problems getting there but on the way back instead of going M6-M5 for some reason the driver stayed on the M6 all the way to the M1 and it was 30 miles from London before somebody realised he'd taken the wrong turn

Unfortunately the driver had done his hours for the day so they had to wait another 3-4 hours for a coach from newport to pick them up and then 3-4 hours getting back, arriving back in Newport almost 24 hours after leaving

Felt sorry for the Sheffield United fan who Hitchhiked from London to Plymouth just to see his side get beat 3-0 and had to camp out for the night and Hitchhike back.

Loved the one with the Swansea Youth when they went to Nottingham looking for trouble, got lost for 3hrs, turned up late at the match then got chucked out for drinking after five minutes and then had a massive fight between themselves and then went home!!!

I hitchhiked to Cambridge for a city match in the late 70's took 3 hours and 3 lifts quite handy for me cause I lived on Uppingham Road (A47) at the time!

24 hours away from Newport, such a blessed relief!

This bloke travels from Luton to Fife to watch East Fife Utd every single week.
