Eastern Fox Posted 1 November 2004 Posted 1 November 2004 Petrescu hopes to have his future with another club sorted out by the end of the month. The 18-year-old striker has returned to his native Finland to pursue educational interests. I wonder which one is correct? I would think skysports. Someone who scores 7 goals in 2 games at under-18 level could probably find another club quite easily...
Eastern Fox Posted 1 November 2004 Posted 1 November 2004 Micky takes alot of the blame for this. 32309 He was hardly hardly an expert on youth coaching - he thought Nicolas Priet (currently languishing in Doncaster reserves) was a 'great young talent'. This was probably Bassett's decision though.
Anish Posted 1 November 2004 Posted 1 November 2004 Looks like he is going to Uni.Official site says it is for educational interests 32306 I don't believe the club - they have been talking a lot of bollocks recently. Why would Petrescu want to go back into education when could become a professional footballer?
Sparky Posted 1 November 2004 Posted 1 November 2004 what a joke , watch tomi go and bang 30 a season in for ajax or something
Guest Daniel Posted 1 November 2004 Posted 1 November 2004 #### crazy, no other way of putting it. I cant believe this has happened. James Graham our next big star then.
Mad Dog Posted 1 November 2004 Posted 1 November 2004 I guarantee this is the last time we hear of tomi petrescu. Maybe some of you will realise that life isn't championship manager.
Sparky Posted 1 November 2004 Posted 1 November 2004 u guarentee ? i wish some people realise that u aint mystic meg !
Buzzell Posted 1 November 2004 Posted 1 November 2004 WTF!!!! Our potential youth developement squad will be demolished by the end of the season! They've all had enough and we all know we should be playing youth! Fcuking ridicolous!!
Hullfox Posted 1 November 2004 Posted 1 November 2004 Maybe some of you will realise that life isn't championship manager. 32365 Might be hard to take for some
Scow Posted 1 November 2004 Posted 1 November 2004 So you're saying Championship Manager isn't right?
Mad Dog Posted 2 November 2004 Posted 2 November 2004 In my CM03/04 game Jordan Stewart and Tommy Wright won England caps. Enough said I think. Saying that, the new one is out this week..
Anish Posted 2 November 2004 Posted 2 November 2004 but FM is out sooner 32469 That's what he (Mad Dog) meant.
Hullfox Posted 2 November 2004 Posted 2 November 2004 So you're saying Championship Manager isn't right? 32450 Can't be the way I play it
Guest Posted 2 November 2004 Posted 2 November 2004 Leicester has 2 decent Universities. Surely his afternoons could have been spent at one of those, if he really wanted to? Then his options would have been open?
Jonesy_rules Posted 2 November 2004 Posted 2 November 2004 i c him going to a lower league club such as Yeovil! but he's a good player, all the best!
Ric Flair Posted 2 November 2004 Posted 2 November 2004 LEICESTER CITY have handed Finnish wonder-kid Tomi Petrescu a three-year contract. The 17-year-old has come through the youth ranks at Leicester, after joining the club as a junior. Petrescu is one of Leicester's best young prospects and this has been recognised with the award of the lengthy contract. The striker is rated as one of his country's best prospects and is expected to make a push for the first team at Leicester over the next few years. The youth international has played ten times for Finland's Under 17 side and is set to lead their attack during the summer's World Under-17 Championship in his home nation. A year and a half later and now look!! Shocking, gutted, disgusted.
Marcoos Posted 2 November 2004 Posted 2 November 2004 Situation: > Club has parted company with a manager who had no time for youth. > New manager appointed who says all the right things re giving youth a chance. > Young player with huge potential leaves the same day. If I were that player I would try my nuts off to impress as he will never have a better chance to make the 1st team. But if that is his attitude then f### off is what i say. I do not want people with that shit attitude at my club. History is full of people with talent who don't make it cos their ego becomes bigger than their talent - remember Neil Lewis...
andy_croydz Posted 2 November 2004 Posted 2 November 2004 as i said to petrescu (mark) on msn.. LEICESTER REJECT LEICESTER REJECT WOOAH WOAH didnt like it though of course
