Knighton Matt Posted 13 May 2006 Posted 13 May 2006 NO! Not him! I've been asked to be an usher at a mate's wedding and just wondered if anyone who's been there had any advice for the big day? What do you actually do apart from show people to their seats?
The People's Hero Posted 13 May 2006 Posted 13 May 2006 That's it mate. You get to wear the matching snazzy suits though. I'm an usher soon.. but a best man soon before. Nervous.
Nationwider Posted 13 May 2006 Posted 13 May 2006 Show people to seats, and then (as long as you're single) remain permanently on the shark for the rest of the day.
The People's Hero Posted 13 May 2006 Posted 13 May 2006 Be sure to don a cloak to supplement your sharking prowess.

Durnerz Posted 13 May 2006 Posted 13 May 2006 I'm going to be an Usher as well for my Uncles wedding in the summer as well.
Nationwider Posted 13 May 2006 Posted 13 May 2006 I have to say, I love weddings. You get to catch up with all your mates, have a good laugh, celebrate someone else's good fortune/misfortune and get fed and watered at someone else's expense (well the first few bevvies anyway). I also like the randomnesss of them. No two are ever the same, and you get sat next to the most bizarre people - if you talk crap, who cares! they'll never see you again!
Matt Posted 13 May 2006 Posted 13 May 2006 I was an usher when I was younger, Can't remember how old...Can't remember to much about the wedding to be honest, It was someone who was some relation to us, and they contacted us because they were tracing the family tree....years later we found out they only wanted contact with my family for money, I ain't seen them since.
