Milky Posted 25 May 2006 Posted 25 May 2006 Why do we struggle with the tail so much!! because vaas is a decent batsmen for starters. for the Aussies warne and lee are no mugs. is there such a thing as a tail these days?

Ultra Posted 25 May 2006 Posted 25 May 2006 It looks promising for us. Let's make sure we don't let a winning position slip this time!
Shum Posted 26 May 2006 Author Posted 26 May 2006 because vaas is a decent batsmen for starters. for the Aussies warne and lee are no mugs. is there such a thing as a tail these days? ok in more simple terms, why do we seem to sail through the top order batsmen and then struggle with the lower order?
Milky Posted 26 May 2006 Posted 26 May 2006 ok in more simple terms, why do we seem to sail through the top order batsmen and then struggle with the lower order? the ball is older, perhaps that could be it. also some balls are too good to get a lower order batsmen out, because they aren't good enough to get an edge on it.
Ultra Posted 28 May 2006 Posted 28 May 2006 Finished the tail off in quick time today! Our batsmen still can't play against spinners of any quality though... Even though we ended up winning, we'll have to improve by a long way to avoid a battering in next winter's Ashes tour!
