There's hard working people giving there hard earned cash to Unicef, and Maradonna demands an apperance fee :nono:

If I was anything to do with organising it, no matter how big a "Legend" it is i'd get some othere celebrity/legend who would 1) do it for charity and 2) wouldn't want an apperance fee!

Only 20k...Jeez he's bordering on Poverty with that!

I can imagine he wasn't the only one on fees, Ant and Dec got paid to host the event.

I thought Maradona looked top class. His first touch was as sharp as anyone on the pitch and his passing was incredible, the backspin he manages to get on is over the top through balls was amazing - not many players can do that.

have to agree I think it was obvious that he was still the best player on the pitch!! and infact was probably still to good for most of the players in the ROTW team

Not the best player on the park mind...I still reckon Le Sox is better than Ashley Cole - and Tony Adams still looks like a rock in defence - he is so formidable. Poor old Gazza ran outta juice after 10 minutes...and Robson was as shit as he ever used to be.

Indeed. Considering the shape he was in four or five years ago I was amazed he lasted the 90 minutes.
