Milky Posted 25 May 2006 Posted 25 May 2006 but it's for charity so that must make it o.k. it's dragging on a bit, i think a week is a bit much. it's just a bit of fun.
Libertine Posted 25 May 2006 Posted 25 May 2006 I thought it was quite good. I'm not watching it tonight, but the two warm up matches were pretty entertaining. Zola = God.
holly Posted 25 May 2006 Posted 25 May 2006 but it's for charity so that must make it o.k. it's dragging on a bit, i think a week is a bit much. it's just a bit of fun. i was gunna go and watch it on sat, but not sure!! £15 to charity, and possibly some great entertainment
Milky Posted 25 May 2006 Posted 25 May 2006 , craig doyle has just been rinsed big time. he was dancing in the dressing room in just a flowery thong unaware that a camera had just been bought into the changing room. classic.
The People's Hero Posted 25 May 2006 Posted 25 May 2006 To be fair that was brilliant. I'm not entirely convinced he was unaware of the camera though.
Parsons Posted 25 May 2006 Author Posted 25 May 2006 yeh i guess it is good for charity, but they could of made it more entertaining. at least give them pikes or something
Matt Posted 25 May 2006 Posted 25 May 2006 The auidence let it down IMO, their acting like its some shite such as X factor or something, laughing like there being qued to laugh, e.t.c. I'm expecting the match on saturday to be quite good but the weeknight shows are abit rubbish.

Jeez lighten up I'm actually really enjoying Soccer Aid, it's a good watch and great to see the legends and celebs battling it out. I can't wait to see Zola, Maradona, Dunga etc play against Gazza, Adams, Seaman etc.
Ultra Posted 25 May 2006 Posted 25 May 2006 It'll be like a kickaround in the park. But I may watch it on Saturday if there's nothing better to do! PS Are they certain Diego's dodgy heart will stand up to this? Wouldn't want him to kick the bucket on prime time TV, would we?

Hitesh Posted 26 May 2006 Posted 26 May 2006 The Craig Doyle bit was funny! Its all for a good cause and they are having a laugh so its not too bad!
Ricey Posted 27 May 2006 Posted 27 May 2006 Anyone watching this? Maradona is clearly the best player on the pitch but England are dominating as the rest of the ROW are cack. 1-0 to England btw, Sir Les scored.

Ricey Posted 27 May 2006 Posted 27 May 2006 Maradona has been utter shite He could hardly run but he sprayed pin point passes all over the pitch for 90 mins!
Libertine Posted 27 May 2006 Posted 27 May 2006 Great game. Went a bit stale in parts but on the whole it was very entertaining. Zola is magnificent. Superb goal from Jonathon Wilkes too!
Guest Gist Posted 27 May 2006 Posted 27 May 2006 Angus Deyton (sp) made me laugh when he ripped that player and threaded the ball through with the out side of his foot would of been good if they'd have scored from it.
Milky Posted 27 May 2006 Posted 27 May 2006 He could hardly run but he sprayed pin point passes all over the pitch for 90 mins! pin point passes! , i didn't see him hit a man all night.
Ricey Posted 27 May 2006 Posted 27 May 2006 pin point passes! , i didn't see him hit a man all night. Sure you weren't watching Wales vs Trinidad & Tobago?!
Milky Posted 27 May 2006 Posted 27 May 2006 Sure you weren't watching Wales vs Trinidad & Tobago?! unless dwight yorke has put on some weight and grown an afro i think i know what i saw.
Daggers Posted 27 May 2006 Posted 27 May 2006 I thought it was jolly rotten that the crowd boo'd Maradona. You spend £400 on Ebay to get your ticket to see some past-master (or in Barnes' case, ass-master) and boo the greatest player the world has known. Shameful. El es un hijito de Dios!

El es un hijito de Dios! it was only panto booing, and it stopped after a while. didn't he demand 100K to play? if that's true he deserved booing.
Ricey Posted 27 May 2006 Posted 27 May 2006 it was only panto booing, and it stopped after a while. didn't he demand 100K to play? if that's true he deserved booing. Apparently he only got £20k with the other £80k going to Unicef.
Matt Posted 27 May 2006 Posted 27 May 2006 Apparently he only got £20k with the other £80k going to Unicef. There's hard working people giving there hard earned cash to Unicef, and Maradonna demands an apperance fee If I was anything to do with organising it, no matter how big a "Legend" it is i'd get some othere celebrity/legend who would 1) do it for charity and 2) wouldn't want an apperance fee! Only 20k...Jeez he's bordering on Poverty with that!
