dandannieldanok Posted 9 June 2006 Posted 9 June 2006 I'm sure that all of you will be watching only certain games so i thought to set this up to see whether any of you will be bothered to watch all of the games. post your thoughts aswell
Libertine Posted 9 June 2006 Posted 9 June 2006 Hopefully all, as long as there aren't two on at the same time.
Leicester Lass Posted 9 June 2006 Posted 9 June 2006 Most of them, I haven't watched either of the 2 games tonight though.
City_4_Life Posted 9 June 2006 Posted 9 June 2006 I have picked most of them. I will try and watch all of them, but there is bound to be an intteruption somewhere.
Daggers Posted 9 June 2006 Posted 9 June 2006 I spend four years waiting for this festival of football ... why would I not watch every match? I've watched every game since 1978. I love the World Cup!
Tommeh Posted 9 June 2006 Posted 9 June 2006 I'll be watching most games in the group stages with the exception of crap ones eg. poland v ecuadoor tonight and angola v iran. But then i'll watch every second round, quater, semi finals, may not watch the final if England arn't there because i'll be proper jealous

Daggers Posted 9 June 2006 Posted 9 June 2006 What ecuadoor v poland? Duno didnt watch it So how can you call it crap? I thought it was a cracking game with some lovely Latin American ball skills and a fantastic result. An interesting and enjoyable match all in all
MC Prussian Posted 9 June 2006 Posted 9 June 2006 So how can you call it crap? I thought it was a cracking game with some lovely Latin American ball skills and a fantastic result. An interesting and enjoyable match all in all I wouldn't call it "cracking", more nerve-racking, because I was constantly hoping for one side to score in order to break out of the dull midfield business... For most part, it rather resembled a ping-pong/billiard matchup, nothing really going towards the goal. Especially the Polish squad was a big disappointment, only in the last 10 minutes of the game did they finally wake up and were also a bit unlucky.

The poles started not so much needing to win but expecting to win. After 10 inutes of concerted attack thye then found themselves on the back foot. Having conceeded a goal they were in the position they never believed they could be in and had no tactics to counter. How often do you see nifty footwork in the Championship? In the Premiership? In Canada? Ecuador didn't just win tonights match but they did with a mix of guts and pazaz ~ some of the backheels and turns were true examples of Latin brilliance. So, I found it cracking...maybe because I had a vested interest in Ecuador winning [friends] but cracking none the less.

I'd also say that Ecuador was the better team and therefore agree with your statement. Both squads were equally aggressive when it comes to one-on-ones, some very rough tacklings and hits on both sides.

I did watch the highlights, i still can't see myself watching Iran v Angola or Tunisia v Saudi Arabia, i reckon i'll watch about 90%
City Fan Posted 10 June 2006 Posted 10 June 2006 Whilst ive still got exams coming up, I will just be watching the England games and have all the rest on in the background. But as soon as they finish, I will watch every game, but my exams don't finish until June 26th so will watch every game in the knockout stages.
Ultra Posted 10 June 2006 Posted 10 June 2006 Some games are on during the daytime. Can't see too many taking time off to watch South Korea v. Togo.. But I'll probably watch every game for which I'm not at work.
