Hoof Fox Posted 29 June 2006 Posted 29 June 2006 It isnt David Kelly is it. Has Neil McDonald turned down the opportunity to team up with Billy Davies at Derby again ???
Graz Posted 29 June 2006 Posted 29 June 2006 The person who it is might be a term for drinking. Downing then?
davieG Posted 29 June 2006 Posted 29 June 2006 Downing then? Or Ayles. FFS can someone be bold enough to say who this is, It's hardly a matter of national security. It's become like a childrens game and Im too old for that sort farting around. On second thoughts I've got sucked into this without realising I don't really care.
davieG Posted 29 June 2006 Posted 29 June 2006 Phil Parkinson has been officially confirmed as the new manager of Hull City. After a long legal battle Hull finally agreed terms with Parkinson's former club Colchester which freed him to make the move to The KC Stadium and succeed Peter Taylor at the helm. "We are delighted to announce the appointment of Phil Parkinson as the new manager of Hull City AFC," a club statement read. "It has been a long two weeks of negotiations since Peter Taylor left Hull City on 13th June. However we have finally secured one of the brightest managers in the game and one who has been coveted by many, many clubs in The Championship over the last year." Hull have already confirmed Frank Barlow as Parkinson's number two, but they have also announced that Colin Murphy will take on a role of director of development, while physio Simon Maltby, goalkeeping coach Mark Prudhoe, centre of excellence chief Billy Russell and youth scout Neil Mann will remain in their current positions.
bald reynard Posted 29 June 2006 Author Posted 29 June 2006 It isnt David Kelly is it. Has Neil McDonald turned down the opportunity to team up with Billy Davies at Derby again ??? Kelly does fit the bill - he has been at clubs with Kelly - and, with Billy Davies moving on (without him), I'm not sure he has a future at PNE (I've heard Simpson is bringing in Dennis Booth now he's left Carlisle). But PNE are not a "newly promoted, lower league club" ! Barton could be 'pulling all our plonkers', of course !?

Kelly is still making his mind up but he is probably going to go to Derby as he lives about 40 minutes from their training ground. Dennis Booth is likely to stay at Carlisle to help Neil McDonald 'bed in' as a manager, he admitted today he has no experience of the job so Booth would be an ideal mentor at that level.

The local press in Carlisle are saying Booth is going to Preston with Kelly going to the Sheep. Seems the likely outcome.
