In the 'Muzzy thread', Fosseman said that he'd heard a rumour that Brian Little was being lined up as Coach. I asked him where he heard it - but no reply - yet ! Can he/anyone shed any more light ?

I've just turned my bedroom light on, does that help?

No, I'm still 'in the dark' re the 'Grey-haired one' ! Where's Fosseman when you need him ?

Brian Little will not be coach here, but someone from a lower league club that just gained promotion will be

On what information do you base that 'nugget', Barton ?

The base that I know who RK is bringing in :D

I'll give you 5 guesses.

Doubt anyone would come up with the name anyway Barton, however our understanding is that no new coaches contracts have been signed.

So there is someone coming in, but no contracts have yet been signed?

F'ck me it's Bergerac :D

It'll be done later this week when his current boss takes a new job in the same division

Sorry about the delay in replying. The rumour I was told was from someone very closely connected with the club. How much credence you give it is up to you.

Dennis Booth?? Or one of the coaches from Northampton that haven't joined Calderwood at Forest?

Get real. Why would an established manager agree to be a coach under a novice manager when I am quite sure he could secure another managership in no time?

Doesn't look like it's manager according to what BartfonFox says!

It's not Dennis Booth but his current Club will be the recipient of a new manager meaning we will be getting their coach. The guy is a very close friend of RK.

After being very sad and working it out I have come to the conclusion that it's Keith Downing from Cheltenham. He played at Wolves with Kelly and i'm sure i've read Kelly mention him somewhere before.

Am I right or am I right?

I thought the club might be Colchester, but don't know who the coach would be.

And I can't remember now how I came to the conclusion Colchester were the club...hmm

Hull are after Phil Parkinson that's why, you must've been reading itv teletext

Possibly someone from Plymouth. I see they've announced today that the 'Gardening Worzel', Holloway, is appointed boss. Same Division as Barton says, but I've no idea who they have on their coaching staff, who might be, "great mates with RK" ?

Plymouth didn't get promoted, so from other suggestions so far it seems to be from Colchester (Parkinson about gone), Cheltenham (is Ward going? - Ric's theory on links sounds good) or Northampton

Edit - as Barton is watching, perhaps he would like to award marks out of 10 so far?

In the local Cheltenham paper, they've said this morning:

"Manager John Ward looks set to commit his future to Cheltenham Town at a press conference today. The Robins boss, who led the club to promotion from League Two last season, is set to quash rumours linking him with a switch to Carlisle United by agreeing terms at Whaddon Road"

And Cheltenham have called a press conference for this afternoon, so I guess he's staying, so it won't be from there. Hopefully it wasn't going to be from there otherwise our deal now won't happen by the sounds of it!

Cheltenham's coaches: Keith Downing, Ian Weston, Jason Murphy, Bob Bloomer.

Northampton's coaches: JIM BARRON, IAN SAMPSON (youth team), DENIS CASEY (physio) and STUART BARKER (physio)

Colchester coaches: Geraint Williams, Stuart Ayles, Brian Owen and Joe Dunne

Anyone spot any links with RK in there?

Is the right name in there Barton? Or have I wasted my time even more than I thought?

The answer is out there

Although Neil McDonald might have chucked a spanner in the works, but I understand it will be in place before Monday.
