Phube Posted 6 July 2006 Posted 6 July 2006 This bloke is just too good and cannot be beaten on grass!! So my idea is he should be given a weight penalty (like in horse racing) or he sould be made to play with a wooden racket!! Does anyone agree?? Or am I just a mad rambling weirdo!!!

MC Prussian Posted 6 July 2006 Posted 6 July 2006 The way Federer is dominating tennis at the moment reminds me of the way Schumacher did in the F1 circus. It's just all very dull. But not that I'm a huge tennis fan, anyway. And I don't watch F1 at all, too. Way too boring. And a waste of resources.

Nationwider Posted 9 July 2006 Posted 9 July 2006 Ultimate Sportman Challenge: Roger Federer v Phil "The Power" Taylor for the title of "Greatest Living Sportsman In The World". I've yet to come up with the rules. Perhaps Phil's strapped to a giant, revolving dartboard while Rog is on a Gladiators-style Travelator? Rog has his 1st serves, Phil has a handful of darts. They pepper each other until someone wins?
Benji Posted 10 July 2006 Posted 10 July 2006 michael stich was saying similar on radio yesterday and was highly critical of the others players defeatist/overawed attitude towards him ........ He obviously knows nothing about tennis then If everyone was defeatist towards him, why has Nadal got a 60 game winning streak on clay. People just look for excuses yet cannot seem to accept that Federer, on grass, is just too fking good, Nadal today looked like he really wanted to win, to come back in 5 sets, but Federer is too good.
