Solihullfox Posted 28 July 2006 Posted 28 July 2006 I think Diana's death shocked me the most....I was sitting at a bar in Clearwater, Florida when the news of the crash came on the telly. The whole place was stunned into silence and we spent the next three hours sitting in virtual silence. The only real noise I remember was when the official announcement of her death was made and I can remember a number of women crying. The whole of the rest of the week we were at our hotel was spent listening to yanks saying " we are so sorry for the loss of your Princess, you must be devastated ". We arrived home on the day of the funeral and couldn't believe the effect her death had on the country...we knew it would be bad but.... One of those JFK moments, I will never forget where I was the moment the news broke.
macbeth Posted 29 July 2006 Posted 29 July 2006 i never expected the queen mother to be taken in such a cruel and sudden manner
Daggers Posted 29 July 2006 Posted 29 July 2006 I thought the passing of Keith Richards was very sad ~ but the reanimation was, quite frankly, sick. Let the man be dead in peace, I say!
Daggers Posted 29 July 2006 Posted 29 July 2006 That Mark Bolan hurt me with his mini OK, where's my coat?...
Nationwider Posted 29 July 2006 Posted 29 July 2006 That Mark Bolan hurt me with his mini OK, where's my coat?... Or the person that Rod Hull landed on top of. That would have been hard to bear.
