Was at Rise Against/Thursday/Circa Survive/Billy Talent last night. Not exactly my cup of tea, and my friend and I might have been the oldest people there, but I did have a good time.

Off to see Primal Scream in Hammersmith tonight. Haven't seen them live for a couple of years so I'm looking forward to it but not the drive back.

Saw Rodrigo y Gabriela last night for the third time. Not quite as good as Sheffield about six months ago for some reason. It was the last date of the current tour and they seemed a bit tired. Still awesome in comparison to most of the samey indie bands you could waste your money on. Unbelievable musicianship.

Next up: Basement Jaxx next Thursday in Manchester. Can't say I'm that bothered with their recent stuff but they've always been on my to-see list after the first two albums.

Just got back from the most awesome gig I've seen, Adequate Seven's final show at the SU here in Cardiff. Support acts of Boom in the Diamond Industry, Captain Everything, Shooting Goon, Get Cape. Wear Cape. Fly. and Capdown, all rather awesome, plus the fact that Adequate Seven are an absolutely stunning live act too. Mental crowd, awesome tunes. Perfect.

And you all missed it :o

As mentioned in the UK Subs thread - Tonight I went to see the UK Subs at The Shed

I have to say they really were good - The best Subs lineup I've seen in a very long time - The drummer was particularly good

Charlie's in great shape - looking a lot healthier than he did 15 years or so ago - He's still got bags of energy - Not bad for a 62 year old - D'you think he'll retire in 3 years time??? - Not bloody likely

Severed Head Of State / Guided Cradle / Anaeroba in Prague, Czech Republic (Klub 007)

JESSICA!

oddly enough there is actually a band here in norway called 'the jessica fletchers', no idea what they are like tho, there is a massive music scene here, including turbonegro - haven't had time to go to too many gigs yet, unfortunately...

really wanted to get to CSS in september but ironically i will be in london for brian wilson at the RFH (again).

I'm going to see the Manic Street Preachers in Leicester tonight. I went to see the Young Knives sometime last month at Loughborough Uni which was quite good. The Manic's new album's got some decent tunes on so I'm hoping that it'll be a great night, especially with some of the classics mixed in. Not sure who's supporting them though.

Where are the Manics playing in Leicester?
