Scow Posted 22 November 2004 Posted 22 November 2004 Taylor Makin / Keown / Dabizas / Stewart Gillespie / Nalis / Tiatto* / Morris Scowcroft / Connolly Subs: Pressman Heath Gemmill* Williams Blake * Depends on the fitness of Tiatto, if unfit, then Gemmill will play. I would rather see Canero right back, but I think Levein will stick with the same back line. I haven't put Canero on the bench because I assume he is injured/dropped?

davieG Posted 22 November 2004 Posted 22 November 2004 Taylor - A Cert to start makin keown dabizas stewart - Don't think he will change the defence gillespie nalis gemmil morris - I think gemmil will play instead of joey, not sure if morris is fit enough, are there any fit left-sided youngsters scowcroft connolly - Don't think he will change the forwards just yet not with so many enforced changes to midfield subs blake canero williams Heath pressman

shen Posted 22 November 2004 Posted 22 November 2004 ------------- Taylor --------------------Makin - Keown - Dabizas - Stewart Canero --- Nalis --- Dawson --- Morris ----- Connolly --- Wright ------------- 38701[/snapback] Very unlikely that CL will throw Dawson straight into the XI sont you think?.. Gillespie seems to continually improve and I believe CL will keep starting with him. His confidence certainly gets a boost from this run of starts! Hopefully he will continue to improve. As for Wright, I don't believe CL has seen enough of Wright yet in the reserves. Blake seems to be ahead in the pecking order ... Speaking of which... where has Benjamin disappeared? He keeps scoring for the reserves yet he's not on the bench ...

Mark Posted 22 November 2004 Posted 22 November 2004 He wont throw him straight in but that doesnt mean h e's right If we play Gemmill then we're still living in the past. Lets be ambitious for once.

If it is just Connolly and then one other central midfielder, we'd get murdered in the middle. Can't say I've ever seen Connolly put his foot in.
SamuearlJackson Posted 23 November 2004 Posted 23 November 2004 here's my 3-5-2... ......................Taylor ......................Keown ............Dabizas........Heath Canero.............................Stewart .............Gemmill....Nalis ....................Williams ...........Scowcroft......Connolly assuming Tiatto, Gudjonsson, Elliott out. There's no steel in central midfield then... who's the best tackler between Gemmil and Williams?

Williams and Nalis are a luxuary in the middle really, both good passers of the ball but neither is well known for putting a foot in... Having said that, I think I would prefer Williams to play over Gemmill.
Samu Posted 23 November 2004 Posted 23 November 2004 I would like to see 3-5-2 or 3-4-1-2 Taylor Keown Heath Dabizas Canero Williams Nalis Stewart Morris Connolly Scowcroft
shen Posted 23 November 2004 Posted 23 November 2004 would put Morris up front then... and either play Connolly 'in the hole' or put Scowy there to nod the balls on to either Morris or Connolly
