Janx Posted 4 August 2006 Posted 4 August 2006 I remember once when I had stopped being a student and started work, the banks had cut me off as had my folks... <_< I had 48p to get through from Sunday night till Friday. In those days supermarkets had wars on the price of bread, beans and tinned matoes.. Beans - 5p Toms - 4p Bread - 8p Serously!! So I bought three loaves of bread, various tins of beans and toms and bunked off work to save bus fare.. How sad is that too skint to go to work!!
Phube Posted 4 August 2006 Posted 4 August 2006 At Uni I was taking £5 out of the cash machine a week to live on!!

DanTheFoxBhoy Posted 4 August 2006 Posted 4 August 2006 Through uni I'd often find myself with less than $20 in the bank for the rest of the week - since the minimum withdrawl amount from ATMs is $20 over here, relying on EFTPOS for convenience store quik-e-meals and Maccas burgers was often on the agenda
Daggers Posted 4 August 2006 Posted 4 August 2006 When I was homeless, no money. Third Yorkshireman: Well we had it tough! We used to have to get up out of the shoebox at twelve o'clock at night, and LICK t'road clean with our tongues. We had half a handful of freezing cold gravel, worked twenty-four hours a day at the mill for fourpence every six years, and when we got home, our Dad would slice us in two wi'bread knife.
Manwell Pablo Posted 4 August 2006 Posted 4 August 2006 When I was homeless, no money. The quoted sketch is absloute comedy genious.
