Depends who you want to go camping with, UK campsites can be awfully stuffy ~ worse than Golf Clubs with their petty rules. A whole load of Camping Club sites demand silence at 11 o'clock...that doesn't go well with free flowing alcohol. Check on their websites first to avoid hassle. Shell Island used to be great, some nice pubs in Llanbedr & Harlech
