It's hardly filled with high-precision, or even hand-built parts that need the most delecate of handling. All a fiesta should really need is the basic fluids changing, these cars are supposed to be cars for the masses, reliable and above all cheap and easy to maintain. 156 quid is a disgrace. If I were you, take an crowbar to the garage and tell them what you think of their bill

If I were you, take an crowbar to the garage and tell them what you think of their bill i think that there will be plenty of big blokes with big spanners to contend with; i would advise strongly against this and , they are more used to handling these tools as well , believe me i know!!! best to sort out the cost beforehand and dont leave any jobs like "leaky gearboxes" ( yes you cisono) until they pack up and cause bigger problems , most things that go wrong with cars are preventable with a bit of common sense and forethought.

I just paid £170 to have my Corsa serviced but that's because it's only 1 year old so had to take it to the official Vauxhall garage. I know a garage in Leicester who charge £90 plus parts. I'd be using that as a benchmark because the quality at this place is great as a lot of the peugeot servicing is outsourced to them

lcfcalan Posted 17 August 2006 Posted 17 August 2006 Formula One are buggers for messing people around. Go in for a new exhaust, only to be told that your shocks have had it. Tell them you will sort it at a later date, and they will change them anyway, citing that they couldn't let you go out with them in that state, health and safety and all that jive. Had I known at the time that legally I could drive away without paying for the new shocks, I would have done, but seeing as I had a very important match to attend, I begrudgingly paid up. Lets get it clear though, I told them exactly what I thought. And I warned them that I would tell all and sundry about this. Funnily, I'm not the only person that they've done this too, and they don't just pick on women either. Fecking crooks. mrs lcfcalan went to formula 1 once upon a long ago. A set of new rear brake shoes was all we needed, and a wheel cylinder , (about £40 worth at the time). The SHARK that 'served' her got her so worried that she let them put new discs and pads on the front wheels , this was with the 'cant let you leave with the car in such a dangerous state ' tale. It cost us about £120 at the time , a bloody site more than we could then afford. Formula 1 continue to this day to blatently try and rip anyone off as 'best' they can , it is their policy . I will not and have not used them ever since (19 yrs ago this was)
