Try and find it and dissable it. ( by this I mean third party program like Ad aware, not browser pop ups as you have already allowed.
Fez of Mahrez Posted 7 September 2006 Posted 7 September 2006 So you're looking for people who work as "Incompetent Twats" to help you out then?

If they know what they are doing the program will be on the server not the PC which he should not have access to. Try right click on select open in new window or existing window. They are not pop ups. Does it work from links in emails? Or not at all?

JadeFalcon Posted 7 September 2006 Posted 7 September 2006 kevin yeah its probably a main server side forced user profile option that the it people have enforced so probably not much you can actually do about it apart from speaking with the it dept
kevinwpratt Posted 7 September 2006 Author Posted 7 September 2006 It seems to be happening to people who are using laptops. If i right click on the link and open as a new window nothing happens and if i click on a link in an email (from outlook) it works..... I have Symantec Client Security but i had that before the weekend too. I have had a look for new software on my pc and found something called Ccleaner - not sure what that is.... IT have since tried to fix it and "Dont know what is wrong with it"
andrewsnaith Posted 7 September 2006 Posted 7 September 2006 It sounds like a group policy enforcement to me
