Head Honcho Posted 14 September 2006 Posted 14 September 2006 Following on from the forward backward same thread Does anybody really believe that we'd be doing any better under another manager? I'm split to be honest but if I was pushed for an answer I'd say no. Reasons 1) He would have inherited too many players not up to it or more importantly up for it 2) No money to spend on new players
lcfc_jme Posted 14 September 2006 Posted 14 September 2006 Alan Curbishley would be a good aquisition for us, but I would like to give RK a little more time - I'm not gona call for RK out too early when his players are letting him down
Head Honcho Posted 14 September 2006 Author Posted 14 September 2006 Alan Curbishley! Wasn't available at the time though was he?

He was in the running for the England job FFS.

davieG Posted 14 September 2006 Posted 14 September 2006 He wouldnt touch us with a ten foot bardge pole. He was in the running for the England job FFS. He has said that he would go to a Championship Club but I'd guess that would be more likely to someone like Leeds than us.

I was just interested to know how many of us think we'd be doing better if we'd signed a more established manager.

I never said it was an "RK Out" thread, I said there were hints and elements of the matter dotted throughout it. Difficult to tell if we'd be doing better with an established manager as well. I think even the best man-managers would struggle to get a select few of our players performing to an acceptable standard
Chrysalis Posted 15 September 2006 Posted 15 September 2006 kelly seemed to do well with craigs squad but seems to have a poor eye for transfers.
