Lukeh Posted 7 December 2004 Posted 7 December 2004 weat. catozsankthats how u say them but not sure how to spell it 44654 That must be the worst atempt to spell some thing in french. I believ it is Huit cautoz 44655 That's just as bad! huit heures quartorze if I remember correctly - although it was 5 years ago now 44662 Your correct huit heure quatorze is right!! Good memory!! Bonus point if someone remembers the name for apple! 44664 You're actually all wrong... huit heures quattorze is 8:14! 8:15 is either 'huit heures quinze' [wit uhh cans] or 'huit heures quart' [wit uhh car] 44692 Oh my god your right aswell! Dammit!! bit of a smile!

Benji Posted 7 December 2004 Posted 7 December 2004 i got an A from pure luck still, not bad for my lowest but 2 grade was funny in the exam.... my first 4 answers were F, E, C, K respectively when i read that just chuckled to mysef and thought...im screwed!
Benji Posted 7 December 2004 Posted 7 December 2004 our listening was half and half same with the written but there was fair bit of long written answers at the back which u needed to get right for high grade plus theres loads of coursework
Ash Posted 7 December 2004 Posted 7 December 2004 I was never good at French at school , I always had that attitude " I'm not French ,why do i need to speak it " ....Bad attitude really but it was the truth

Benji Posted 7 December 2004 Posted 7 December 2004 ok, first sentence i've copnstructed in a few months Je pense que, parle le francais c'est tres dificile parce que c'est ennuyeux apprend?? i think that, talking french is very hard because it is boring to learn?? (i think apprendre is the verb for to learn?) my problem was, i wud say what i wanted to write in english first, then translate it into french so my syntax would be dodgy hated learning new languages just couldn't get my head around it!

French people hate English and are reluctant to learn other languages, and vice versa for the English speaking people...

How crap is that? And also x is pronounced sh and zh is pronounced j. I'll stop now
Guest Posted 8 December 2004 Posted 8 December 2004 I took French at GCSE, did a year of German, can understand some written Spanish, and barely speak English. I would love to learn to speak Welsh. Anyone who has ever been to North Wales should understand why.
Vocal-Legend!! Posted 8 December 2004 Posted 8 December 2004 i was good at oral* (ooopppsss spelling!)...... but got disracted as our french teachers were absolutely gorgeous!!! all about 20 somthing with lovely doofers!!!

Jonesy_rules Posted 8 December 2004 Posted 8 December 2004 Benji,m you not been paying attention in class? Shame didn't read this earlier when with the lovely g/f, she would of been able to tell you loads, but at the mo. she's in French AS Level class
Benji Posted 8 December 2004 Posted 8 December 2004 , i had the desire not to choose it at a level didn't understand a word when i WAS doing it as a lesson let alone now!
Jonesy_rules Posted 8 December 2004 Posted 8 December 2004 i didn't have the desire to either, although part of me wishes i'd done a foreign language aswell! Gonna teach myself Spanish before the summer holiday, as i'm going to Ibiza with the lovely miss J.R
Benji Posted 8 December 2004 Posted 8 December 2004 nice one if we could have done spanish or italien as core language id have tried harder but french just didnt appeal to me and i couldn never get my head round it (i learnt more in my one year of german than 5 of french) but our college is a language college so everyone has to do french GCSE - and i wasn't prepared to not do P.E to learn spanish
Jonesy_rules Posted 8 December 2004 Posted 8 December 2004 i could of done both, but because i'd already had 3years of French, and only 1 of spanish i did french at GCSE, now in my last year of school, wished took another one, although doing psychology, english lang and media is kinda difficult with all the essays i seem to get
