rich1409 Posted 21 October 2006 Posted 21 October 2006 I was just wondering what everyone's favourite goal is that they've scored? Like Sunday League or whatever, well I'll get it started. Mine was when we were playing away from home and were 3-2 up with about 10 minutes to go, but suddenly we went 4-3 down with about 5 minutes to go, I picked the ball up on the half way line and looked to the side and my dad just told me 'just go, run with it', so I did, knocking it past about 5 players, and on a hatrick I stuck it away in the top corner, easily my favourite as it meant we rescued a point with a last minute equaliser and for the obvious reason of the number of players I beat.

When i came on we was 2-0 down, anyway i came on and someone played a high ball, i borught down with my right foot, and hit it with my left on the volley from about twent-five yards, and i lobbed the keeper. I also scored the equaliser with my left foot with a ow drive from 20 yards to seal a point for us.

Then 5 minutes later i picked up the ball just inside the oppositions half on the far right touchline, Looked up saw one of our strikers making a run, i pelted it and it bounced just inside the box, bounced over the keeper (flapped like pressman) and our striker kindly nodded it away... would have been going in aswell..

I didn't play it all 'cos I went off with concussion, but before I went off I netted me teams only goal from a halfway line freekick Dead chuffed with meself as well 'cos it was against the wind Scored a few other gooduns but that one sticks with me 'cos it's the furthest out I've ever netted
Walkers Wonderkid Posted 21 October 2006 Posted 21 October 2006 mine was a 30 yard free kick against my old club, their manager was a rite dik ed. had his favourites so i neva got played so i signed 4 a diff team n scored a 20 yarder against them in a friendly!! but my free kick against them in the league was jus pure aggression, we lost 2-1 but i equalised with a screamer!! nxt month he wanted me back because i got managers player of the season but dint go bak the nob ! loved it n im only a defender, too bad we dint do great in the league though!! actually we came 6th bottom so..............quite bad, wasnt the defending of course! we couldnt score, until i took our free kciks
Molson Canadian Posted 21 October 2006 Posted 21 October 2006 commonwealth cup final here in vancouver british columbia canada ball came off a defenders shin after a shot by my team mate from outside the 18 ball came back fast towards me in air i first timed it on the volley and put it right over the defence and the goal top right corner from 25 yards out also turned out to be the game winner
Finnegan Posted 21 October 2006 Posted 21 October 2006 Favourite was easily my first. I started my sunday league / junior league career as a goalkeeper. I was (to blow my own trumpet) pretty good - until the goals got bigger, the players got bigger - and I didn't. Suffice to say, the goalkeeper as the smallest player isn't a great thing. So, athletics being my best sport, they put me, being a speedy little ****, on the wing. First goal I ever scored, cut inside and belted it from about thirty yards. Beauty. Unfortunately, my celebration was equally flamboyant and probably even more remembered - what a little twat.

But the new manager barely gave me a chance because I wasn't physical enough, still finished top scorer in that season though, even though I quit 7 games early, and oh yeh they only 1 game in those 7, so I showed that idiot!
