Daggers Posted 30 October 2006 Posted 30 October 2006 I rawed my eyes out at one point Me too, as soon as I realised MrsDB wouldn't let me turn over
Katy Posted 30 October 2006 Posted 30 October 2006 Me too, as soon as I realised MrsDB wouldn't let me turn over You mock but it just reminded me at some points in the week or so up to my Gran passing away, hence the 'rawing'
IDEA OR IKEA Posted 30 October 2006 Posted 30 October 2006 It was dull, some bits where funny - but not a fan of this dragging stuff back for one -off specials (unless for Charity or standard dull Xmas TV). Testament again to the current lack of creative Ideas in British comedy - with the exception of one or two gems and bringing back old series/characters!
Daggers Posted 30 October 2006 Posted 30 October 2006 Testament again to the current lack of creative Ideas in British comedy I was thinking of this scenario: Ronald McDonald and his chums take over the running of a second tier football team and give away some free flags and a load of tickets. They reduce investment to nil and aim for mediocrity at best. After a number of hilarious episodes where they get locked in the boardroom, fall into the team bath and have a fight with Filbert Mascot...the series ends on the announcement that Johnny Foreigner would like to buy them out. Nah! No one would buy that.

I don't know - i think the an episode where they finally get rid of a Scottish manager they should of months before, followed by a comedic visit to the training ground, could be hilarious. Imagine Ronald McDonald in the opening scene of the episode turning on his computer, then 500 e-mails pop up asking for the manager out and then he just turns the computer off without reading them - comedy gold!
Robsdee Posted 30 October 2006 Posted 30 October 2006 I thought it was quite deep at times. Cried buckets, like Katy reminded me of Rob's Dad passing away in July
Libertine Posted 30 October 2006 Posted 30 October 2006 You mock but it just reminded me at some points in the week or so up to my Gran passing away, hence the 'rawing' Same here. Very similiar to my Grandma.
