Mark Posted 28 October 2006 Posted 28 October 2006 Is back for a one off special on Sunday, 9pm on BBC1. Can't wait, it was a very well written program in it's day. As good as comedy gets. http://www.bbc.co.uk/comedy/guide/articles...6602940_1.shtml
Libertine Posted 28 October 2006 Posted 28 October 2006 I love Jim's laugh. Jim: I'm off to have a meeting with the arabs. You what? Jim: Mustapha Crap! Hehey!

Matt Posted 28 October 2006 Posted 28 October 2006 Used to watch the Royle Family but wouldn't say it was that good, but am looking forward to tommorrows 1 off.
Rincewind Posted 29 October 2006 Posted 29 October 2006 Clashes with Meatloafs Top 50 Rock Gods (The Hits Ch 330) which I have just set my DVD to record and I'm off out soon.

lookwhaticando Posted 29 October 2006 Posted 29 October 2006 Clashes with Dream Team... Gotta prioritize lad... Royle Family all the way.
Matt Posted 29 October 2006 Posted 29 October 2006 Its funnier than I remember it! Love it when Jim's battery went missing from his TV Control!
Rincewind Posted 29 October 2006 Posted 29 October 2006 No Kerry, I was not joking. I'm an old rock addict and a fan of Meatloaf so anything he selects is fine by me.
Libertine Posted 29 October 2006 Posted 29 October 2006 Wow. Absolutely fantastic. I was struggling to keep back the tears. Nana is ****ing brilliant.
Daggers Posted 29 October 2006 Posted 29 October 2006 I think Ahern needs to check herself back into the Priory...that was dull & boring in equal measure.
Milky Posted 29 October 2006 Posted 29 October 2006 it was funny in parts, but i don't think it was supposed to be a laugh a minute, it was a bit deeper than that. Overall i'm glad i watched it, nicely put together.

samingram_uk Posted 29 October 2006 Posted 29 October 2006 i thought it was great, started off with laughs, then the sad bit, then ended on a high, flippin' great

Overall i'm glad i watched it, nicely put together. A bit like The Office Christmas Special (done nearly 3 years later) - it was a slow-starter, hilarious in parts but very gentle in others, then. Can't wait to see it. Hope it's aired over here again soon - they haven't shown Royle Family in a couple of years, hopefully a new addition to the episode list will change that.
Katy Posted 30 October 2006 Posted 30 October 2006 It was incredibly moving in parts, I rawed my eyes out at one point
