shen Posted 10 November 2006 Posted 10 November 2006 BBC Any thoughts? It's maybe a little early, but he's definitely a quality player and you can always do with those...
filbertway Posted 10 November 2006 Posted 10 November 2006 Good for him, he looks a quality player and has great strength and speed, could be an excellent player for club and country over the next 10-15 years. With baines and richards coming through our full back positions are looking very promising.
Leonisco Posted 10 November 2006 Posted 10 November 2006 Thank fook Kieran Richardson's been dropped.
Wils Posted 10 November 2006 Posted 10 November 2006 Great prospect, why not give him a chance. From what ive seen of him hes looks a good player.
Leonisco Posted 10 November 2006 Posted 10 November 2006 I know it would have meant taking four keepers, but Scott Carson should be in there.
Leicester Lass Posted 10 November 2006 Posted 10 November 2006 I know it would have meant taking four keepers, but Scott Carson should be in there. Scott Carson for Ben Foster
filbertway Posted 10 November 2006 Posted 10 November 2006 Scott Carson for Ben Foster Nooo I want Ben Foster to play, he's loked quality for Watford and deserves a chance to play
Fez of Mahrez Posted 10 November 2006 Posted 10 November 2006 Still Jenas gets in ahead of Kevin Nolan.
Leicester Lass Posted 10 November 2006 Posted 10 November 2006 Still Jenas gets in ahead of Kevin Nolan. Jenas is the most sorry excuse for a footballer since Andy Johnson.

dandannieldanok Posted 10 November 2006 Posted 10 November 2006 This is a little pointless isn't it. Richards will never get in ahead of England's most consisent player over the last decade and if he does I will be very seriously worried.

Richards will never get in ahead of England's most consisent player over the last decade and if he does I will be very seriously worried. Why not give him a chance? It's a friendly, why not experiment and try and give him some experiance, Neville won't be playing much longer and we need to start bringing in the next generation of players.

Neville will need to be replaced sometime it makes sense for him to get the chance to prove himself during the friendly matches at least.
Mark Posted 10 November 2006 Posted 10 November 2006 This is a little pointless isn't it. Richards will never get in ahead of England's most consisent player over the last decade and if he does I will be very seriously worried. When the alternative is to play the likes of Hargreaves and Phil Neville out of position when Neville is out injured, I'm not seeing anything pointless about it. Richards has done well and gets forward well for a right back, but does seem prone to the odd tantrum.
Tommeh Posted 10 November 2006 Posted 10 November 2006 Richards has been immense this season and has been man C's best player by far (with the exception of Joey Bartons arse!) He IS the natural long term replacment for Neville at RB. and Id' love to see him get at least 20 mins v Holland although just being in the squad is a massive step for him.
Joe. Posted 11 November 2006 Author Posted 11 November 2006 The only problem with Richards is his attitude which he will hopefully work on. You just have to look back to the time when he went off mardy after he was subbed not long ago.
