Just to cheer City fans on the eve of a testing match at Derby is news that Leicester City's Academy team have now passed 50 goals for the season in the League - in just 13 games!

They currently stand on 51 thanks to the 6-0 win over Bristol and face chasing rivals Reading next. And a goals differential of 32. So much for getting caught on the counter!

The list of scorers reads:

Eric Odhiambo with 12 goals in 9 matches.

Billy McKay 11 in 11,

Max Gradel (winger) 9 in 10

Andy King 4 in 10

Scott Lycett (centre-back) 3 in 12

Ashley Chambers 3 in 5

Ryan Beswick (winger) 2 in 11

Tom Tejan-Sie 2 in 12

Joe Mattock 1 in 9

Jailow 1 from two substitute appearances.

City have lost once in their 13 games and drawn twice.

Great to know City are doing well at least at the Academy level.

Really needed some cheering up today :P

PS: Didn't realise about Odhiambo... wow! :)

But why haven't you mentioned it before??

Where have you been? :D

Being serious though it's cracking stuff, we seriously need to sort out the reserve team as it is seriously going to hinder these kids not having one playing regularly.

(to the tune of Nigel Reo-Coker)

Du-du-du Eric Odihambo

Du-du-du- Eric dihambo.

Hopefully he can be a great player for us in years to come...

Wow, these nippers must be good if they can afford to bring J-Lo off the bench.

Only goes to show that we need a reserve team so players are playing at a level competitive enough to aid their development. Winning 6-0 against Bristol City's Under 18's does no good for anybody.
