Brummie-FOX Posted 5 December 2006 Posted 5 December 2006 Anybody have the new Microsoft Internet Explorer 7? If so, can you tell me how to clear my ' recently view internet sites ' as I cant find it on my Control Panel. Hope that makes sense And sorry if you consider this as ' spam ' :pinch:
Wils Posted 5 December 2006 Posted 5 December 2006 Oh yeaaaah. Whos been browsing sites they shouldnt be.....Naughty boy.
Brummie-FOX Posted 5 December 2006 Author Posted 5 December 2006 Well its just my computer has to be taken away to have a health check and they will be looking at sites i have recently visited. Howver its just my luck that something rude will appear on the list so i'd rather delete the sites and hide my embarrasement. But to answer your question, NO
CZCTN Posted 5 December 2006 Posted 5 December 2006 :: If you can find 'Tools' then just go to internet options and 'Clear History' I think ..
Brummie-FOX Posted 5 December 2006 Author Posted 5 December 2006 :: If you can find 'Tools' then just go to internet options and 'Clear History' I think .. It's not working!!
Rincewind Posted 5 December 2006 Posted 5 December 2006 I've had mine done as well. Cant see the refresh icon. Using F5 at the mo. The tools on mine is on the right hand side on mine. Look under internet options. You may be able to do it through start/tools/clean up.
Brummie-FOX Posted 5 December 2006 Author Posted 5 December 2006 Brilliant! Thanks I've had mine done as well. Cant see the refresh icon. Using F5 at the mo. The tools on mine is on the right hand side on mine. Look under internet options. You may be able to do it through start/tools/clean up. And the refresh button is to the right of the drop down button for internet sites. If that doesn't make sense, you'll see it on the same row as the back and forward tabs.
lookwhaticando Posted 5 December 2006 Posted 5 December 2006 That's too forkin' funny. You realize that if the computer is in poor health and they find something they shouldn't, they'll soon work out what kind of sites you visit. Deleting the list of sites will: a) make it a little harder to find any potential problems b) not save you any embarrassment if they do find said problems. Fact of life: If you don't want to be embarrassed, don't do silly things to begin with. You dirty little pervert.

I just said its My LUCK that a stupid site I haven't even visited appears on the list.
lookwhaticando Posted 5 December 2006 Posted 5 December 2006 We all know what you lot do when there's nothing going on here @ FoxesTalk.
lookwhaticando Posted 5 December 2006 Posted 5 December 2006 I have nothing to be embarrased about. I just said its My LUCK that a stupid site I haven't even visited appears on the list. Sites you didn't visit don't appear. So what's the problem? Got a brother/father/mother/sister/aunt/uncle/grandparent that's used your computer recently, and you're worried about what they've been up to? Even then you've nothing to be embarrassed about, really, so long as you know you didn't visit that site.
Brummie-FOX Posted 5 December 2006 Author Posted 5 December 2006 Thing is we have our own user system thingy. So basically I can put a password on my account to stop people going on it. I don't have a password on it which makes it available for anybody to use. But i'm usually the only one that uses this computer I don't know much on how computers work, but the annoying pop-ups i receive are usually those of a ' Sexual ' kind <_<
Ashley Posted 5 December 2006 Posted 5 December 2006 It's not working!! Go on internet tools then delete then history

cisono Posted 5 December 2006 Posted 5 December 2006 Excuses NOT to use: a friend sent the link and I just had a quick look it just popped up without me clicking on anything But these are known to have been true in some cases
lookwhaticando Posted 5 December 2006 Posted 5 December 2006 But these are known to have been true in some cases Still two poor excuses.
cisono Posted 5 December 2006 Posted 5 December 2006 Still two poor excuses. What is the definition of a poor excuse then? I thought it was something that is obviously not true...
lookwhaticando Posted 5 December 2006 Posted 5 December 2006 What is the definition of a poor excuse then? I thought it was something that is obviously not true... Those are obviously not true. It may happen from time to time for real, but most people who use those particular excuses aren't telling the truth.
