Phube Posted 13 December 2006 Author Posted 13 December 2006 Phube, I just managed to get a wii this morning from ASDA in Oadby Now what is the best game to buy and why are there three different controllers. Which do I need two of to play with the family. Right... Game: Depends what you like - Adventure: Zelda: Twilight Princess. - Puzzle/Fun: Super Monkey Ball: Banana Blitz or Rayman: Raving Rabbids. (I've gone for the Monkey Balls!!) - Shooter : Either Call of Duty 3 or Red Steel (most say CoD is better, but it's up to you!) Wii-Remote (Wiimote) the Main one; does it all points, movement, buttons. Nunchuck: Needed for some games for the analogue stick and Wii boxing. It will not work on it's own, you must plug it into the Wiimote. Classic Controller: A use for Virtual Console gaming controller (incorporates a NES, SNES and N64 design) Only needed for the VC at the mo' but who knows what for later as it is a 'standard' design. Again will only work when plugged in to the Wiimote. To play with the family you will most likely need 2 Wiimotes and 2 Nunchucks! Happy Swinging, and watch out for the sore arm !!!

So any SD card will work, and once it's in the machine you can't see it either!!

The strap is connected to a motion sensitive remote which is used to control the on-screen action. The announcement follows reports about the wrist straps breaking during use, leading to the controller slipping out of hands, smashing TVs and windows. Nintendo said the straps do not present a problem if used correctly, but will still replace all broken ones for free. The company has also recalled 200,000 AC adapters for its DS and DS Lite consoles in Japan. Nintendo said the recall would not affect overseas adapters , and company executives expected only a small impact on earnings. The problem with the straps, originally reported as a major recall, affects all Nintendo Wiis sold worldwide and almost all units currently on shelves in shops. Nintendo has targeted sales of four million Wii consoles by the end of 2006. Publicity shots show the controller without the strap The console has been a huge hit for the company with more than 325,000 machines sold in Europe in just two days, more than 600,000 sold in the US and more than 400,000 on launch day in Japan. No information was immediately available about how customers can return their Wii straps, but Nintendo said it would free of charge. The Wii strap is an important safety feature of the controller - which is waved around vigorously in a typical game. Games for the Wii all feature regular safety messages reminded players to keep the wrist strap on.

Simple solution... "HOLD ON TO THE BLOODY THING!!!" They must be real vigorous swingers to launch the bloody things out through windows and such.
hairy Posted 15 December 2006 Posted 15 December 2006 Its the American claim culture. I smashed my flat screen and therefore must sue Nintendo. Not I'm a twat for letting go of the remote when I released the bowling ball!
