Discuss. neither. i think he goes to ground a bit easily but has got a reputation now so doesn't get some decisions. hes not the most overrated player but is one of them, i still think he is good though

He gets into positions where he gets fouled and the speed he runs and the way he cuts across defenders he is likely to get clipped which is enough to send him over. And he isn't overated, his record speaks for itself. Imo he is better than Darren Bent but not many would go along with that.

If I remember rightly half the goals he scored in his first season in the Premiership were penalties, right? If he were a foreigner like Cristiano Ronaldo he'd have been villainised already, when the fact is they're both cheating bastards. Only difference is Ronaldo has class too.

You seemed to be implying that all those penalties were awarded because Johnson dived, i would imagine a few of them were even the result of fouls on other players, maybe even a handball or two, so a bit of a liberal use of facts there to prove a point wouldn't you say?

Or maybe you're interpreting my argument the way you'd LIKE me to say it so that it makes no sense and you can argue? His pace has been tricky for most defences and his finish has continued to improve since his summer move. AS for diving, he does occasionally do it but manages to hide it well unlike the deliberance of players such as Zokora and C.Ronaldo. As for the Chelsea game on sunday, the incident was simply a hurdle in my opinion and Moyes was right in saying that Mourinho would have complained if he left the boot in on the keeper. This however is not a denial that Johnson has denied before this season.

That Portuguese arse really pisses me off - as if he has any credibility railing against the diving antics of players. Indeed. Drogba is probably one of the worst around for play acting/diving. Drogba and Robben. Robben more so, perhaps! Although since he looks so weedy, it doesn't look as bad as when a brick shithouse like Drogba goes tumbling down in the breeze. Robben does make his far more dramatic though, the little gobshite. They also have one of the most careless defenders in theirs midsts too - that Boulahrouz bloke. That guy is a penalty waiting to happen - you don't need to dive with a player like that trying to tackle you, just let him tackle you, he'll never get the ball anyway.

I'm not sure whether he dived against Chelsea at the weekend but genrally he dives a lot As for being the most over rated player in the premiership I would disagree with that totally. He is not spoken about that often so cannot really be the most overrated player.

I watched the Chelsea game just now, and there were two seperate occasions where he could have dived, one where he tried to stay up and managed it, and one where he tried to stay up and fell flat on his arse. I'm not exactly saying he deserves commendation for NOT diving, but it's good to see for a change. He's definately doing it less, anyway.

The 'he runs at pace and is therefore off-balance' argument that many people like to use about Robben and Johnson is total bullshit aswell. I have a mate who runs the 100m in 11.2 and can keep his balance perfectly. I haven't seen Johnson dive that much this season but i seem to remember him diving a lot last season and a few times in the Prem with Palace. Not 100% but didn't he dive against us at Selhurst last year? Or have we all forgotten about that. Name another Premiership player who is more overrated than Johnson then. Using Filbert Ross as an example, are you telling me Kisnorbo could stop Wayne Rooney from touching the ball all game like he did last season to Johnson? Yes, he might have been having a bad game, and playing in a shit team but Kisnorobo's no Terry. He's by no means a bad player, but I maintain he is way overrated and shouldn't be near the England team. Merry Christmas Andrew Johnson.
