My colleagues and organised a raffle bought stuff in whisky etc sold off tickets and raised £280 for me, Im so gratefull. merry xmas

The People's Hero Posted 21 December 2006 Posted 21 December 2006 tell me about. top people ill try and hold back on the beers but it wont be easy Oi! You're supposed to be ill! Seriously though, I bet the beers only add to an existing large 'Christmas' stockpile!

Will they help you get better?
Nationwider Posted 22 December 2006 Posted 22 December 2006 That's really good to here. A couple of days ago, I had to rush to the chemists for some stuff for the nipper. I got there at about 5.58 and without cash, tried to pay for said item with a card, only to be told the card machine was down. No cash machine around, I was snookered. A bloke in the shop at the same time insisted (despite my initial protestations) on paying for the item in cash. He refused to take an IOU or give his name or address. He just said he had kids himself, and had "been there before". I was really taken aback by that - he shelled out a few quid. I'm hoping an oppportunity will arise to do my own random act of kindness really soon and restore karmic balance to the universe.
Nationwider Posted 22 December 2006 Posted 22 December 2006 What is the rationale for the 40 bottles of Stella? Will they help you get better? It's what EVERY man wants for Christmas. What a thoughful, tasty and nutritious gift.
