MC Prussian Posted 31 December 2006 Share Posted 31 December 2006 From the BBC Sport website: "Sunderland manager Roy Keane must reshuffle against Leicester, with Steve Caldwell (thigh) and Nyron Nosworthy (hamstring) unlikely to play. But Keane can call on Graham Kavanagh (knee), and Dwight Yorke and Ross Wallace have recovered from illness. Striker Danny Cadamarteri could make his Leicester debut after signing a deal until the end of the season. Defender Darren Kenton is back after a calf injury but is short on match fitness and may start on the bench."
dandannieldanok Posted 31 December 2006 Share Posted 31 December 2006 Cadamarteri won't start, not with Hume, Hammond and Fryatt in front of him. The subs bench will be an achievement for him.

lookwhaticando Posted 31 December 2006 Share Posted 31 December 2006 Kenton won't make the bench ahead of Stearman or McCarthy. As for Danneh, they said he 'could' make his debut at S'hampton and he didn't even make the squad.

It's the second time in a row the Beeb is mentioning Cadamarteri about to debut for us...
Leicester Lass Posted 31 December 2006 Share Posted 31 December 2006 There are no mistakes in that report. I feel used.
Ultra Posted 31 December 2006 Share Posted 31 December 2006 I don't think he's up to 90 minutes at the moment. I'd be happy to see him come off the bench for the last 20 minutes and run a tired mackems defence ragged..

Why not, surely having played only twice for Grays in the last month he would be sharper than Hume and Hammond who have played 3 games in a week. lookwhaticando Posted 31 December 2006 Share Posted 31 December 2006 I can see McAuley being dropped tomorrow. It would disappoint me if that were the case. That would be a travesty IMO. Agreed. From what I've read, he's been rated as our best defender over the course of the last few games, it seems.

He has been our best defender but any chance RK will get to put McCarthy back in, he'll take it.
lookwhaticando Posted 31 December 2006 Share Posted 31 December 2006 He has been our best defender but any chance RK will get to put McCarthy back in, he'll take it. Drop Kisnorbo. After all, the Stats had previous indicated that McAuley/McCarthy was the best CB pairing we had. Ask Louise.
Bert Posted 31 December 2006 Share Posted 31 December 2006 Kelly's been itching to put Paddy back in. He couldn't for the last few games as we were unbeaten. A 2-0 defeat with an abysmal performance is his perfect window to bring back his "captain". And let's face it, he isn't going to drop Kisnorbo is he?
