Chelsea vs Mourinho

I'm not saying anything about the picture - but I find this posturing quite funny. The stories being fed to the media are being done in such a Mandaric style (you know they have only briefly brushed passed the truth) but it is evident that he is setting himself up against the club...up against a very powerful man.

Getting the players on his side can only kick the team in the teeth in the long run.

It's great! :D

Chelsea captain John Terry says he is prepared to lead a players' protest to persuade the club's hierarchy to keep boss Jose Mourinho at Stamford Bridge.

..."We don't want Jose to go and if it takes five or six of the senior players to tell them so, then that's what we're prepared to do," said Terry.

...But Mourinho did deny reports that there had been attempts to remove Steve Clarke as his number two - and said that if such a decision was made then the club would have to take him away from his role as well.

...Chelsea striker Didier Drogba has also expressed his desire for the self-styled 'Special One' to remain in London. "Losing him will be extremely painful, it's not easy losing a good friend," the striker told The Sun.

...Drogba says "I just hope people give us and the boss a break about this talk because it's not good for the team."

I sense another polonium-210 incident on the horizon!!!

people say that winning is an easy habit and that you REALLY see how good your manager is when things are not going well and IMO Mourinho hasn't handled the past few weeks very well by having a go at players in public etc!!

however it would be fecking hilarious if all Chelsea players went on strike like John Terry says Roman would probably just suspend the lot for the rest of their contracts!!

Even from his interview after the 4-0 win yesterday, it appeared as though he hasn't got the same enthusiasm as he had. I could see him leaving if the Champions League isn't delivered this year. Definitely Chelsea's loss.

Then, I predict Liverpool will become the next Chelski, but it will be done over a long period of time and not with such a quick fix as the Russian Revolution was at Stamford Bridge.

What ever people say about Chelski (and one thing which gets to me is the Chelski hatred/ ManU luv-in! :glare: ) Mourinho is one of the best managers in europe, the key thing that the big clubs do with regards to managers (i.e Wenger, Fergerson et-al) is that they give them as much freedom as possible to do their jobs and dont interfere they just let them get on with it... Mourinho has never really had that luxury and its suggestive of Chelski's sudden arrival at the very top tier of european football, their unlikley to get a manager any better than Jose and if they where to give him the boot when the club have played well in the Champions league and are still the one of only two clubs capable of winning the domestic league (not to mention the domestic cups) is just stupid, shortsighted and navity on their part... they would also probably kiss-goodbye to Lampard if Mourinho left.

I think its just Moaninho is used to running his footy club and he isnt getting the chance at the moment. Having the clubs owner buying one of his favourites (Shevchenko) and telling Mourinho "there you go" may be OK at some clubs but he doesnt seem to be like that. Moaninho needs to be the boss.

I feel sorry for him as there is no doubt who makes the big decisions at Man Utd, Arsenal and Liverpool to a lesser extent but at Chelsea you never know whether its Abramovich, Arnesen, Kenyon or Mourinho.

The fact that he wont play Shevchenko must be winding up Abromovich so something has got to give. Thats why owners and chairman should stay well away when it comes to players in the squad. I also think that Chelski have too many cooks in a kitchen which is getting ready to boil over.
