It would make sense to think that that person was me. That James had made an assumption about me which turned out to be wrong, but rather than holding his hands up and saying 'sorry', he has just tried to deny what he said in the most infantile and pathetic way. It would follow from this that his decision to ignore my posts is not a principled stand but a pitifully juvenile attempt to shut down any further conversation before people realize what a plonker he has been to have made a false claim about me and not been man enough to face up to it. But I've been assured that is not the case. Still, James was clearly talking about someone. I'm stumped. I guess it will have to remain a mystery.
