Guest Gist Posted 4 February 2007 Posted 4 February 2007 Steve Coppell. To get Reading where they are with the amount of money they've spent is something to be proud of. Also they play nice football
dandannieldanok Posted 4 February 2007 Posted 4 February 2007 Steve Coppell. To get Reading where they are with the amount of money they've spent is something to be proud of. Also they play nice football Totally agree, Coppell is a brilliant manager. Wenger has to be recognised for his ability to find talent from Europe and 9 times out of 10 make a good player out of them.
holly Posted 4 February 2007 Posted 4 February 2007 mark hughes-doing a great job @ blackburn! but gotta either be fergie or big sam really i suppose
Tommeh Posted 4 February 2007 Posted 4 February 2007 Any manager who signed Fabregas for £5m, Henry for £9m and Sold Anelka for £23m That'd be wenger then
Bert Posted 4 February 2007 Posted 4 February 2007 Any manager who signed Fabregas for £5m, Henry for £9m and Sold Anelka for £23m That'd be wenger then £1million. Wenger is the best talent spotter. But overall i'd say Fergie.
Asha Posted 4 February 2007 Posted 4 February 2007 Has 2 be Adrian Boothroyd or Steve Coppell. No money. Have 2 sell best players. Never get carried away...
Simi Posted 4 February 2007 Posted 4 February 2007 Has 2 be Adrian Boothroyd or Steve Coppell. No money. Have 2 sell best players. Never get carried away... Don't like Boothroyd much at all. Comes out and says the same stuff every week after a game 'We will bounce and back and carry on battling'
Tommeh Posted 4 February 2007 Posted 4 February 2007 £1million. Wenger is the best talent spotter. But overall i'd say Fergie. oh I am sorry whatever must you think of me, still £20m would be a bargain for that dude worrrrra player.
lcfc_jme Posted 4 February 2007 Posted 4 February 2007 In terms of developing players - Wenger In terms of gaining players' respect - Ferguson For playing a truly English game - Allardyce
lildave3 Posted 4 February 2007 Posted 4 February 2007 Not liking this Arsenal/Wenger loving going on in this thread. God i hate Arsenal <_<
Geo V Posted 4 February 2007 Posted 4 February 2007 Wenger. I know Sir Al has has won more including the Champs League but Arsene Wenger hasnt been able to spend as much money as Sir Al on these £20+ players and infact had to sell Overmars and Anelka to raise funds as talks of a new stadium progressed. He has won plenty including that near 50 game unbeaten run, they have done it in style and he has continued to produce quality players from abroad as apose to buying ready made players. Also keeping hold of Henry and his better players whilst Sir Al has sold Stam, Van Nistleroy and Becks due to off field stuff. BTW, at Steve Coppell. Who would of had him as an England manager candidate a few months back?? Answer is NONE! One good season and the knee-jerk reaction follows!!
Tommeh Posted 4 February 2007 Posted 4 February 2007 Not liking this Arsenal/Wenger loving going on in this thread. God i hate Arsenal <_< shame cos I love the Arse most of all I love Rosiscky, Hleb and Fabregas, that midfild is just pure filth. ST at the Emirates for me nxt term
lildave3 Posted 4 February 2007 Posted 4 February 2007 shame cos I love the Arse most of all I love Rosiscky, Hleb and Fabregas, that midfild is just pure filth. ST at the Emirates for me nxt term You disgust me By the way, no votes for Neil Warnock?
Tommeh Posted 4 February 2007 Posted 4 February 2007 You disgust me By the way, no votes for Neil Warnock? sorry mate, I just luuuuuuurve em. The ST bit was a joke I'll never leave the walkers!! but I do admire the way they play and unlike Chelsea they don't pay £20m + for most of their players. A serios note on the thread I can see what Apexgeo is saying about Coppell, how many people would have been saying the same about Paul Jewell this time last year?
lcfc_jme Posted 4 February 2007 Posted 4 February 2007 shame cos I love the Arse How nice of you to share that with us sheephead. Please remind me not to stand infront of you ever.
Head Honcho Posted 4 February 2007 Posted 4 February 2007 Any manager who signed Fabregas for £5m, Henry for £9m and Sold Anelka for £23m That'd be wenger then I thought Fabregas was signed on a free transfer
Tommeh Posted 4 February 2007 Posted 4 February 2007 How nice of you to share that with us sheephead. Please remind me not to stand infront of you ever. Leave me be I've posted in the chebs thread aint that enough for you!!
Tommeh Posted 4 February 2007 Posted 4 February 2007 I thought Fabregas was signed on a free transfer I think it was all compensation due to him being 16 at the time
