Guest Daniel Posted 17 January 2005 Posted 17 January 2005 City are ten points away from the play offs. Arsenal are 10 points away from chelsea. I hope both of my favourite sides can acheive their goals. We're not that far away from the play offs. We just need to get a run going. I still believe that we can get into the play offs. And win promotion. What does everyone else think? 55586 How can you like arsenal???????/ 55781 Because they are the most enjoyable team to watch in the premiership? I like them alot aswel.

They are the oo's version of the 90s Man Utd full of snobbess, we can win if our over paid eyes closed little shites.
Katy Posted 17 January 2005 Posted 17 January 2005 With three more relegated prem teams...next year will be just as tough. Not to mention that we once again have to rebuild. I say once again, but on the other hand I don't think the builder did a particularly good job this year.Lets just hope we can offer more by way of quality next year. You are right Daniel, the football has been crap this year, ashown little signs of improvement...lets just keep our fingers crossed and get behind the team at home. With a bit of hope we might claw our way up the table. It has got to begin soon though 55597 Yes, spot on. The teams that come down will be up there i should think. I know we all said the same last season but it depends what players teams keep hold of, WBA will have Earnshaw and Campbell upfront. Norwich will have Ashton & Huckerby. Palace will have Johnson. Will be tough next season but I think play off's will be a realistic aim for us. 55599 Due to our history in the past 10 years we should be aiming for top 6, but it will be a lot harder. To get back up in the big time, it should be up first time, i can see us spending a few more years in championship and lower divisions like Ipswich, Sunderland, Derby, Swindon. I really hope we can get straight back up, but unless CL sorts out the men from the boys we sould here for a while yet. 55604 I think it would be a grave error if we managed to get promoted this season - we are not ready and CL needs more time to build his own squad - consolidation is the name of the game this season. Theres no point going up and coming straight back down again - look at West Brom, they are being labeled a yo-yo team as we were in the 80's - we cant go back to that again. 55607 How can it be a grave error getting promoted ? Even if we do go straight back down, CL will have a whole lot more money to build his squad with! But anyway, talk of promotion is utopian. A miracle would be needed, seeing as we haven't played any football yet this season that looks like something a promotion challenger would deliver. I would've have believed it was possible if we were no more than 6 points behind and keeping up with the pace, but that's not the case. In any case next season should be more promising than this one, with much of the dead wood gone. And I have this feeling Stearman will become a key figure for us too in 2005/2006 55777 yeah you are right - sorry.
Guest Daniel Posted 17 January 2005 Posted 17 January 2005 I prefer watching Chelsea to Arsenal myself. 55846 Jesus christ, they are terrible to watrch. On the premiership they were saying how boring they are to watch, score one goal and then defend there lead? Terribly boring. One-Nil to the Chelski boys.

I'm not disputing either way, I just thought I'd through a couple more figures into the mix
Guest Daniel Posted 17 January 2005 Posted 17 January 2005 I know, but the style is still there, almost a 1-0 at the weekend. Scored a goal, sat back and defended it and hit them on the counter attack at the end when Spurs were pushing, just one example. Terrible to watch.

Guest Daniel Posted 18 January 2005 Posted 18 January 2005 2 players dont make a game terrific, but i agree not always boring but on average they are. Didn't you see the experts talking about this? Even Mourinhio said the football isn't attractive but it works.

shen Posted 18 January 2005 Posted 18 January 2005 I don't enjoy defensive football, but I can admire it as it isn't easy to master. I don't like Italy or their style of play, but they are masters at defending and that in itself can be quite interesting to watch. No doubt that Arsenal are the more entertaining team though And in this moment of time Barcelona is the most entertaining of them all B)
