Samu Posted 17 January 2005 Posted 17 January 2005 Taylor Maybury Keown Heath Stewart Gillespie Williams Joey Nalis (is tiatto available?) De Vries Connolly Would be interested to see Maybury and Gillespie link up down the right

davieG Posted 17 January 2005 Posted 17 January 2005 Reading between the lines so to speak, Gillespie looks an almost certain starter, MDV and Tiatto aren't even in the reckoning. Unless CL is trying some 'confuse the enemy' tactics. Also can't see Keown starting 2 games so close together.

If we play 3-5-2... Taylor Dublin - Heath - Dabizas Maybury - Gemmill - Joey - Williams - Stewart Connolly - Scowcroft
Jonesy_rules Posted 18 January 2005 Posted 18 January 2005 Walker / Pressman (undecided yet) Maybury Dublin Heath Stewart Nalis Williams Gudjonsson Connolly Wright Subs: Walker/ Pressman, Keown, De-Vries, Stearman, Gemmill As De-Vries had a slight groin strain, i believe would be safer to have him on the bench, Scowcroft has been extremely poor in recent weeks, so drop him completly, let him no he can't stroll into the team! I'll justfy my decisions: Walker / Pressman - I'm not sure which yet, as Walker has only played 70mins reserve footy lately, and Pressman did play in the last Cup game, will be a close call Maybury - PLayed well from what i've heard in his first fall game, think he could keep the Blackpool attack at bay Dublin - More suited to defence, should be substitued around the hour mark for Keown Heath - Deserves another chance to prove himself, where better than Blackpool? if playing poor replace him for Stearman, chance the formation to 3-2-3-2 Stewart - Playing well in recent weeks, hoping it can continue Nalis, Williams, Gudjonsson - Feel this is an attacking midfield, which we need, espically as Williams has been playing his best yet since being here, if it's not working, chance it, bring Gemmil on, go more defence-orientated Connolly - Been working hard all season, although fas (including me) have got on his back, hasn't ever given up, with goals in the last few games, confidence should be high Wright - Deserves a chance although others beg to differ, has heart and spirit, could do well upfront and support Connolly well!

Dublin Scowcroft But 10/10 for a realistic team
Mark Posted 18 January 2005 Posted 18 January 2005 Just a worrying thought that may be going through Leveins head if he's determained to play 442... Makin returns at right back, with Gillespie wide right. Maybury is moved to left back, Stewart wide left. Great left side, but the right <_<

I know we're meant to be better than them, but playing a 4-3-2 formation is ridiculous!
