l444ry Posted 25 February 2007 Posted 25 February 2007 As Milky Joe posted earlier (not sure whether sarcastically or seriously - but used as my reasoning for the Adebayor comment), Wayne Bridge claims Eboue was the one hitting him and not Adebayor. As I said, I haven't been watching any coverage, fall-out or post game reactions, and have only seen the incident once, so I'm in no real position to make a 100% accurate comment on who did it, I was simply quoting somebody else. When you do see the replays I'm confident you'll see why Adebayor was sent off. Whether he Bridge hit or not is quite irrelevant and it's even questionable that was why he was ordered off.

My question would be what prompted anyone to hit Bridge, not that it would excuse them but you don't normally hit someone for nothing.

Just seen the incident again. Bridge walks to get involved and I think a hand is swiped in his face and he goes down.

Wouldn't be much of a brawl if everyone had a reason for hitting someone... I can't wait to see what kicked it all off... the two teams have brought shame upon themselves for trashing a Cup final in such a way. Three red cards and 7 or so yellows in such a game... disgraceful. I imagine the FA will be looking into this... they usually love to investigate games where there's a few cards dished out.

Essien should of been sent off earlier if the ref was going to be consistant. It was one of the fouls which you get booked for if your not already booked.
l444ry Posted 27 February 2007 Posted 27 February 2007 That'll teach Adebayor to try and sneak his way out of justice.
lildave3 Posted 27 February 2007 Posted 27 February 2007 Both appeals rejected i see, still don't understand why Mikel was sent off, i thought a booking would have been enough.
