Wilson Posted 21 January 2005 Posted 21 January 2005 Shit loads of Coursework to do for GCSEs? I can't wait to see what you think of A Levels Im on my final year of A Levels & im doing English Lit, Geography & Psychology.
Cat Burger Posted 21 January 2005 Posted 21 January 2005 I did/do Psychology ICT English Literature Sociology. Would recommend all except ICT which is absolutely hell-cringingly awful.
emmalcfc Posted 21 January 2005 Posted 21 January 2005 A bit off subject but I thought it was funny. I had a Business Spanish speaking test today, and the examiner was 10 minutes late, and then she was determined she wasn't going to start the exams before she'd been toilet. She was a right biatch to say the least. So our teacher had a go at her, and she pulled a stressy. Then our teacher came back in to our room, and said something like she's pissing me off, and that he wished she'd #### off. So after all that I lost all my concentration
Guest Daniel Posted 21 January 2005 Posted 21 January 2005 I did Media Studies, Graphic Design, ICT and Computing. Media Studies is excellent.
Wellman Posted 21 January 2005 Posted 21 January 2005 I'm thinking about doing... Geography Media Studies Graphics And one more maybe history so i could drop it?
Guest Daniel Posted 21 January 2005 Posted 21 January 2005 media is a big bag of ball all. 57438 That about sums your intelligence up in one post. Brain dead.
Wilson Posted 21 January 2005 Posted 21 January 2005 No one in our college has failed AS media in a few years - and our college isn't full of bright people.
Anish Posted 22 January 2005 Posted 22 January 2005 I did A-Levels under the old system before the AS-levels were introduced. History, Government & Politics, Sociology
Alexikokopops Posted 22 January 2005 Posted 22 January 2005 Ha, this reminds me of when we were down my local, and my cousins were up, and one of them's 16, and in the pub he came out with, quite loudly, "I still haven't decided what A Levels I'm taking yet", before taking a huge swig of Carling Extra Cold, ha.

History, Government & Politics, Sociology 57453 Try doing them under the old, old system during the transition after GCSE's had been introduced! All maths and science subjects had to have about 3 months of O level stuff taught to us before we could begin the A level itself! I took, and somehow passed, Maths, Chemistry and English Lit.

I'd hate for you to fail in the play offs.
Nathan_Ellington_WAFC Posted 22 January 2005 Posted 22 January 2005 make your mind up first its champions, now playoffs hurry up soft lad
Guest Daniel Posted 22 January 2005 Posted 22 January 2005 Yeah, at first i thought maybe they could be champions, but not now. Looks like play offs for you guys.
Benji Posted 22 January 2005 Posted 22 January 2005 on AS levels at mo doing: Maths English literature and language Biology P.E History i've got to say, history is the best! i thought it would be all dates and stuff as stereotyped, but its anything but. yes the odd bit of info is good to have for the exam but the stuff is really interesting; currently doing the Weimar republic and the nazi's; only when u do it do you realise that aside from his anti jew etc feelings, he was had a major positive effect on germany decreasing poverty, increasing employment and making the country better after WWII. if anyones thinking of doing history i'd definately reccommend it
TrickyTrev Posted 22 January 2005 Posted 22 January 2005 Revision for GCSEs!! Really no need. I wanted to do some kind of film course but my school didn't offer it. I ended up doing a load of shite subjects (English Lit, Sociology, Economics and History) and I absaloutely hate it. My advice on sixth form is don't do it if you have a realistic alternative. It is just as shit as school howver much they try and dress it up and its very frsutrating being skint whilst your mates are out earning serious money at the same time as doing a college course.

Jonesy_rules Posted 24 January 2005 Posted 24 January 2005 GCSE's were much easier and less stressful than AS-Levels and my A-levels at the mo. however at the time, they were extremely important! As each exam goes, S.A.T's (seem important but aren't) - GCSE's (Are important) - ASLevel, ALevel (very important) - Degree (important) the previous one loses it's importance, however these exam results predict your future! GOOD LUCK mate, TRY YOUR HARDEST REVISE LOADS! O and for A-Level I'm doing at the Mo.: English Language Media Studies Psychology Would recommend them all!
